3.1 Remote Control Functions:

  • LOCK: Press the lock button once. The parking lights will flash once, the siren will sound once (if connected), and the central door lock will engage. The LED indicator will flash once per second.
  • UNLOCK: Press the unlock button once. The parking lights will flash twice, the siren will sound twice (if connected), and the central door lock will disengage. The LED indicator will turn off.
  • CAR SEARCH: Press the car search button once. The parking lights will flash for 30 seconds, and the siren will sound. Press the same button again to stop, or press the lock button multiple times.
  • TRUNK RELEASE (-3s, 50mA): Long press the trunk open button (often labeled with a trunk icon or 'AUX') for 3 seconds to release the trunk. The parking lights will flash three times. This function requires an actuator and a relay in the car's electronic trunk lock system.
  • WINDOW CLOSING (Power Window Output -25S): Press the lock button once. The turning lights flash once and the door locks. The power window signal will output a negative trigger for 25 seconds. This function depends on the car's circuit delay and requires the car to have a power window closer.
  • LIGHT/SOUND SIGNAL:
    • Lock: Yellow light flashing, make beep sound.
    • Unlock: Yellow light double flashing, make beep sound twice.
This function works only when the car has a beeper or is connected to the car horn.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Code Learning:

To program a new remote control or re-learn an existing one:

  1. Press the learning switch on the main unit once. The turning lights will flash once.
  2. Immediately press any button on the remote control you wish to learn. The code will be learned.
  3. If you need to learn more remotes, repeat the process for each additional remote.

4.2 Clear Code:

To clear all learned remote control codes from the system:

  1. Press and hold the learning switch on the main unit for 3 seconds.
  2. The turning lights will flash 3 times, indicating that all codes have been cleared.

4.3 Battery Replacement:

When the remote control's range decreases or it stops responding, it's time to replace the batteries. Each remote uses two CR2016 3V batteries. Refer to Section 2.3 for battery installation instructions.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Hippcron Car Central Kit System, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Remote not responding: Check the remote control batteries. Ensure you are within the effective operating range (30-80 meters). Obstructions or strong electromagnetic interference can reduce range.
  • System not locking/unlocking: Verify all wiring connections are secure, especially the power and central door lock wires. Ensure the main unit is receiving power.
  • Antenna issues: If the remote range is significantly reduced, ensure the antenna is firmly inserted into the control box.
  • Siren/Horn not sounding: Check the siren/horn wiring connection. Ensure your vehicle has a compatible beeper or horn connected to the system.
  • Window closing function not working: This function requires your car to have a power window closer and depends on the car's circuit delay. Verify these conditions are met and the wiring is correct.
  • Trunk release not working: This function requires an actuator and a relay in your car's electronic trunk lock system. Ensure these components are present and correctly wired.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

  • Q: Is this system compatible with all cars?
A: It is universal and suitable for almost all 12V car types, but professional installation is recommended to ensure compatibility and correct wiring for your specific vehicle model.
  • Q: What if I lose a remote control?
A: You can purchase a new remote and use the 'Code Learning' procedure (Section 4.1) to program it to your system. You may also consider clearing all codes and re-learning your remaining remotes for security.
