5. Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Placement: Place the main soldering station unit on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
  3. Connect Handpieces: Connect the desired handpiece (C210 Soldering Iron or 716C Tweezer Iron) to the corresponding port on the front of the station. Ensure a secure connection. Note: Only one handpiece can be active at a time.
  4. Install Tips: Select the appropriate soldering or desoldering tip and install it onto the handpiece. The tips are designed for tool-free replacement.
  5. Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the station and then to a suitable power outlet (110V-240V, 50-60Hz).
  6. Prepare Accessories: Place the iron holder, cleaning sponge (dampened with water), and tip cleaner in their designated spots on the station.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

  • Press the main power switch to turn the station ON. The LCD display will illuminate.
  • To turn OFF, press the main power switch again.

6.2 Temperature Adjustment

  • Use the central rotary knob to adjust the temperature. Turn clockwise to increase, counter-clockwise to decrease.
  • The temperature range is 90-450°C (194-840°F).

6.3 Temperature Unit Conversion (°C/°F)

  • Refer to the display settings on the unit to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit. This is typically done via a dedicated button or menu option.

6.4 Preset Channels

  • The station features four preset channels (CH1, CH2, CH3, CH4) for quick temperature recall.
  • To set a preset: Adjust the temperature to your desired value using the rotary knob. Press and hold one of the CH buttons (e.g., CH1) until the display confirms the temperature is saved.
  • To recall a preset: Briefly press the corresponding CH button (e.g., CH1) to instantly switch to the saved temperature.
  • Default presets: CH1 300°C, CH2 350°C, CH3 400°C, CH4 Your preferred temp.

6.5 Buzzer ON/OFF

  • The buzzer can be toggled ON or OFF via the control panel. Consult the display for the specific button or menu option.

6.6 Using the Tweezer Soldering Iron (716C)

  • Connect the 716C Tweezer Soldering Iron to the station.
  • Set the desired temperature. Both tips will heat simultaneously.
  • Use the tweezers for precise desoldering of SMD components, resistors, fuses, and micro ICs.

6.7 Sleep Mode and Automatic Shutdown

  • When the soldering iron or tweezers are placed back into their holder, the station automatically enters sleep mode, reducing the tip temperature to 200°C. This conserves energy and extends tip life.
  • If the station remains in sleep mode for approximately 5 minutes without activity, it will automatically shut down.
  • To reactivate from sleep mode, simply pick up the handpiece. The station will rapidly reheat to the last set temperature.

7. Maintenance

  • Tip Cleaning: Regularly clean soldering tips using the damp sponge or tip cleaner provided. This helps maintain optimal heat transfer and extends tip life.
  • Tip Replacement: Replace worn or damaged tips promptly to ensure efficient soldering. The tool-free design allows for easy tip changes.
  • General Cleaning: Keep the station and handpieces clean and free of solder debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning the main unit.
  • Storage: When not in use, ensure the station is powered off and stored in a dry, dust-free environment.

8. Troubleshooting
