6. Setup
6.1 Main Tester Unit Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the main tester unit.
- Open the compartment cover.
- Insert a 9V battery, ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

6.2 Wireless Signal Receiver Battery Installation and Pairing
- Remove the clip/cover from the wireless signal receiver.
- Install a CR2032 3V battery, paying attention to the positive (+) direction.
- Turn on the receiver using its ON/OFF button. The LED should turn green.
- On the PL007 PRO main unit, press and hold the right button (signal button) to initiate pairing.
- On the receiver, press and hold the reset button for over 3 seconds until its LED flashes blue and red.
- Once successfully connected, the LEDs will indicate a stable connection. Cover the clip back onto the receiver.

7. Operating Instructions
7.1 General Operation
- Power On/Off: Long press the ON/OFF button (center button) for over 3 seconds.
- Switch Modes: Use the left button to cycle between CAN Probe, LIN Probe, and SIGN Probe (PWM) modes.
7.2 CAN Mode (CAN BUS Mode)
This mode is used to test CAN BUS communication lines. The device automatically recognizes CAN-High and CAN-Low and detects the baud rate.
- Select 'CAN Probe' mode using the mode switch button.
- Connect the tester's probes to the CAN-High and CAN-Low lines of the vehicle's OBD/OBD II port or specific module. Ensure the cables are indeed CAN BUS cables.
- The display will show the detected BAUD rate and CAN-H/CAN-L status. If communication is active, data frames (ID and values) will be displayed.
- To send a signal, long press the right button. To stop sending and view data, short press the right button.
- The wireless signal receiver's LED will flash red and blue if it receives a CAN/LIN signal, or red and blue if no signal is detected.

7.3 LIN Mode (LIN BUS Mode)
This mode is used to test LIN BUS communication lines.
- Select 'LIN Probe' mode using the mode switch button.
- Connect the red probe to the LIN line and the black probe to GND (Ground).
- The display will show the detected BAUD rate and LIN data frames.
- The wireless signal receiver's LED will flash red and blue if it receives a CAN/LIN signal, or red and blue if no signal is detected.

7.4 PWM Signal Mode (SIGN Probe)
This mode is used to check PWM emulate signals and measure voltage.
- Select 'SIGN Probe' mode using the mode switch button.
- Connect the red probe to the signal line and the black probe to GND (Ground).
- The display will show the detected PWM signal and its voltage (Max Voltage: < 20V).

8. User Tips
- Always double-check your connections before powering on the device to avoid damage.
- If a mode shows no data, try switching to another mode (e.g., if CAN mode shows nothing, check PWM mode) to ensure the correct signal type is being analyzed.
- Keep the wireless signal receiver within a reasonable range of the main unit for optimal performance.
9. Maintenance
- Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Store the tester and its accessories in the provided storage bag in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
- Regularly check the probes and cables for any signs of wear or damage. Replace if necessary.
10. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device does not power on | Low or dead battery; Incorrect battery installation | Replace 9V battery; Check battery polarity |
| No data displayed in CAN/LIN mode | Incorrect mode selected; No active signal on lines; Faulty connection | Switch to correct mode (e.g., try PWM); Verify vehicle system is active; Check probe connections |
| Wireless receiver LED not flashing | Receiver battery dead/incorrectly installed; Not paired; Out of range | Replace CR2032 battery/check polarity; Re-pair receiver (see Section 6.2); Move receiver closer to main unit |
| Inaccurate PWM voltage reading | Voltage exceeds 20V; Poor probe contact | Ensure signal is within <20V range; Re-establish firm contact with probes |
