1. Introduction

The ACEMIC PR-8/FT-10+MINI-BP is a UHF wireless instrument microphone system specifically designed for flutes and clarinets. This system offers convenient wireless audio transmission, making it ideal for performers and educators. The compact and portable design ensures ease of transport and setup. Utilizing a UHF band with multi-level narrowband filter technology, it effectively eliminates interference signals, providing high frequency stability, professional musical audio design, perfect distortion control, transient response, high-fidelity sound, no delays, and no background noises. The system boasts an operating range of up to 80 meters thanks to its antenna diversity receiver.

3. Product Overview

3.1 PR-8 Mini Receiver

The PR-8 Mini Receiver is the central unit for receiving audio signals from the transmitter. It features an HD LCD display for monitoring system status.

  • Receiver Antennas: For optimal signal reception.

3.2 MINI-BP Wireless Transmitter

The MINI-BP Wireless Transmitter clips onto the instrument or clothing and sends the microphone's audio signal to the receiver.

  • Power Button: Turns the transmitter on/off.
  • Battery Compartment: Houses one 1.5V AA battery.
  • Mute Switch: Mutes the microphone audio transmission.
  • Connector Cable: Connects the microphone to the transmitter.
  • Mini XLR Male Plug: Input for the FT-10 microphone.
  • IR Window: For infrared synchronization with the receiver.

3.3 FT-10 Microphone

The FT-10 is a high-quality condenser microphone specifically designed for flutes and clarinets, featuring a flexible pipe for optimal positioning.

  • Condenser Cartridge: Captures high-fidelity audio.
  • Flexible Pipe: Allows for precise positioning of the microphone.

4. Setup Instructions

  1. Install Batteries:
    • MINI-BP Transmitter: Open the battery compartment and insert one 1.5V AA battery, ensuring correct polarity.
    • PR-8 Receiver: The receiver can be powered by two 1.5V AA batteries or the included DC 9V power adapter. For battery operation, insert two 1.5V AA batteries. For adapter use, connect the DC 9V adapter to the receiver's power input and plug it into a power outlet.
  2. Connect Microphone to Transmitter: Plug the Mini XLR male plug of the FT-10 microphone into the corresponding input on the MINI-BP transmitter.
  3. Attach Microphone to Instrument: Use the velcro strap on the FT-10 microphone to securely attach it to your flute or clarinet. Position the flexible pipe to ensure the condenser cartridge is optimally placed to capture sound from the instrument.
  4. Connect Receiver to Audio System: Use the audio cable to connect the PR-8 receiver's 6.35mm jack socket to your mixer, amplifier, or other audio input device.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Press and hold the Power Button on both the PR-8 receiver and the MINI-BP transmitter until their respective displays or indicators light up.
  2. Frequency Synchronization (IR Sync):
    • On the PR-8 receiver, use the UP/DOWN buttons to select a desired frequency.
    • Press the IR frequency button on the receiver.
    • Align the IR window of the MINI-BP transmitter with the IR window of the PR-8 receiver. The frequency will be automatically downloaded and synchronized. The receiver's LCD display will show the synchronized frequency.
  3. Adjust Volume: Use the Volume Knob on the PR-8 receiver to adjust the audio output level to your desired setting.
  4. Monitor Status: The PR-8 receiver's LCD display shows the RF (Radio Frequency) level, AF (Audio Frequency) level, current channel, and frequency, allowing you to monitor the system's performance.
  5. Mute Function: Use the Mute Switch on the MINI-BP transmitter to temporarily silence the microphone without turning off the unit.
  6. Operating Range: The system provides a stable signal transmission range of up to 80 meters under optimal conditions. Ensure a clear line of sight between the transmitter and receiver for best performance.
  7. Power Off: Press and hold the Power Button on both the receiver and transmitter until they power down.

  • No Sound:
    • Ensure both the receiver and transmitter are powered on.
    • Check battery levels in both units.

  • Interference/Poor Signal:

    • Try changing the frequency on the receiver and re-syncing the transmitter via IR.

  • Battery Monitoring: Regularly check the battery status on the receiver's LCD display to ensure uninterrupted performance.
