Safety Information
Always follow basic safety precautions when using electric tools to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury.
- Work Area Safety: Keep your work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
- Electrical Safety: Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces. Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions.
- Personal Safety: Always wear eye protection, hearing protection, and a dust mask. Dress properly; avoid loose clothing or jewelry. Secure long hair. Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense.
- Tool Use and Care: Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.
- Kickback: Be aware of potential kickback, especially when drilling into hard materials or if the bit binds. Maintain a firm grip on the tool.

Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the hammer drill and all accessories from the plastic box packaging. Inspect for any damage during transit.
- Attaching the Auxiliary Handle: The Z1C-SW comes with a rotatable auxiliary handle. Loosen the handle clamp, position the handle to a comfortable and secure angle (it can rotate 360°), and then tighten the clamp firmly. This handle provides better control and reduces fatigue during operation.

- Inserting Drill/Chisel Bit: The tool features a stainless steel clip chuck. To insert a bit, pull back the chuck collar, insert the bit fully until it clicks into place, then release the collar. Tug on the bit to ensure it is securely locked. For drilling, use appropriate drill bits (e.g., diamond bits for concrete). For chiseling, use hammer or pick bits.

- Power Connection: Ensure the power cord is in good condition. Connect the tool to a 220V AC power source.
Operating Instructions
The Z1C-SW offers multiple functions for various applications. Always select the correct mode for your task.

Image: Diagram illustrating the three main functions: Electric Hammer (hammering and hammering), Electric Drill (plus adapter), and Electric Pick (only hammering, not rotating), along with corresponding bit types (Diamond, Hammer, Pick, Slot).
- Selecting the Operating Mode: Use the function transfer switch (refer to Product Components Diagram) to select the desired mode:
- Electric Hammer Function: For heavy-duty hammering and drilling into concrete, stone, or masonry. The bit will rotate and hammer simultaneously.
- Electric Drill Function: For standard drilling tasks in wood, metal, or plastic. This mode requires an adapter for standard drill bits. The bit will only rotate.

Image: Shows the hammer drill configured for drilling, emphasizing the use of an adapter for the electric drill function.
- Electric Pick Function: For chiseling and light demolition work. The bit will only hammer, without rotation.
- Starting the Tool: Press the power switch to start the tool. The speed is rated at 800rpm (no-load).
- Operation:
- Apply steady, even pressure. Do not lean heavily on the tool; let the tool do the work.
- For drilling, ensure the bit is perpendicular to the surface.
- When chiseling, use appropriate techniques to guide the chisel and break material effectively.
- The spiral cooling system ensures efficient heat dissipation. Avoid blocking the air outlets during operation.
- Stopping the Tool: Release the power switch to stop the tool.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for extending the service life of your Z1C-SW Electric Hammer Drill.

Image: Visual guide for routine maintenance, including carbon brush replacement and adding butter (grease).
- Carbon Brush Replacement:
- After using the machine for a few months, regularly check if the carbon brushes are worn out.
- If worn, promptly replace them. Use a flathead screwdriver to open the carbon brush covers on both sides.
- Carbon brushes create current through friction with the motor. When carbon brushes wear down, the motor will no longer function. Replace them with new ones (part number 07792, if applicable).
- Adding Grease (Butter):
- Regularly add grease to the internal mechanisms.
- Use a screwdriver to open the grease fitting.
- When replacing the carbon brushes, take the opportunity to open the grease fitting and check if the grease needs to be replaced or topped up.
- Ensure the tight leak-proof oil cap is securely fastened after adding grease.
- Cleaning: Keep the tool clean and free from dust and debris. Regularly clean the air vents to ensure proper cooling.
- Storage: Store the tool in its plastic box packaging in a dry, secure place, away from children and moisture.
Troubleshooting
- Tool does not start: Check power connection, ensure the switch is fully engaged. Inspect the power cord for damage. Check carbon brushes for wear.
- Reduced power or unusual noise: Stop operation immediately. Check for worn carbon brushes, low grease levels, or foreign objects in the mechanism. Consult a qualified technician if the issue persists.
- Bit not rotating/hammering: Ensure the function transfer switch is set to the correct mode. Check if the bit is properly inserted and secured in the chuck.
- Overheating: Ensure air vents are clear and not blocked. Reduce continuous heavy load operation. Allow the tool to cool down.
User Tips
- For optimal performance and safety, always use drill bits and chisels appropriate for the material you are working on.
- When drilling deep holes, periodically withdraw the bit to clear debris and allow the tool to cool.
- Utilize the 360° rotatable auxiliary handle to find the most comfortable and stable grip for each task, reducing strain and improving control.
- Keep spare carbon brushes on hand for quick replacement to minimize downtime.
