1. Introduction

2. Setup Instructions

2.1. What's in the Box

2.2. App Installation

  1. Download the eWelink app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
  2. Register or log in to your eWelink account.

2.3. Device Connection

  1. Plug the Smart Plug into a standard EU wall socket.
  2. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network. The smart plug only supports 2.4GHz WiFi.
  3. Open the eWelink app.
  4. Tap the '+' icon (usually in the top right corner) to add a new device.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions in the eWelink app to pair the smart plug. This typically involves putting the device into pairing mode (often by pressing and holding the power button on the plug until an indicator light flashes) and entering your WiFi credentials.
  6. Once successfully added, you can rename the device for easier control.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1. App Remote Control

Once connected, you can control the smart plug from anywhere using the eWelink app. Simply tap the power icon within the app to turn the connected appliance on or off.

3.2. Timing and Scheduling

The eWelink app allows you to set various timing functions:

  • Timer: Set a one-time schedule for the plug to turn on or off at a specific time (e.g., "10:30 OFF Once").
  • Countdown: Set a countdown for the plug to turn on or off after a specified duration (e.g., "12:40 Later OFF").
  • Schedule: Create recurring schedules for daily or weekly operation (e.g., "18:00 On Everyday").

3.3. Voice Control

The smart plug is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, SmartThings, and Yandex Alice. Link your eWelink account to your preferred voice assistant app and use simple voice commands to control your devices.

3.4. Energy Monitoring

The smart plug provides real-time power consumption data for connected appliances. You can view historical records and real-time usage reports within the eWelink app to manage your electricity consumption effectively.

3.5. Smart Scene and Group Control

3.6. Sharing Function

You can share control of your smart plug with family members or friends through the eWelink app, allowing multiple users to manage the connected devices.

4. Maintenance

  • Keep the smart plug dry and clean.
  • Do not expose it to extreme temperatures or humidity.
  • Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Ensure the firmware of the smart plug and the eWelink app are always updated to the latest version for optimal performance and security.

5. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Device cannot connect to WiFi. Incorrect WiFi password; Not a 2.4GHz network; Device too far from router. Verify WiFi password. Ensure you are connected to a 2.4GHz network. Move the smart plug closer to the router. Reset the smart plug and try pairing again.
Voice control not working. eWelink account not linked; Incorrect device name; Voice assistant not configured correctly. Ensure your eWelink account is correctly linked in your Alexa/Google Home app. Check the device name in eWelink and use that exact name in voice commands. Reconfigure the voice assistant skill/action.
Appliance not turning on/off. Smart plug is offline; Appliance is faulty; Power outage. Check if the smart plug has power and is connected to WiFi. Test the appliance directly in a wall socket. Check your home's power supply.
Energy monitoring data is inaccurate or missing. Temporary app glitch; Device not properly calibrated. Restart the eWelink app. Unplug and replug the smart plug. If the issue persists, contact support.

Please understand resistive load, inductive load, and capacitive load in advance. It is recommended to consult a professional for advice on specific applications.

  • Resistive load appliances (maximum power 2500W): Incandescent lamps (bulbs), rice cookers, televisions, hair dryers, electric water heaters, electric hot pots, electric heaters, electric irons, resistance furnaces, ovens, oil heaters, water dispensers, ovens, electric blankets, disinfection cabinets, mosquito repellents, electric soldering irons, hot plates, LED billboards, etc.
  • Inductive load appliances (maximum power 850W): Fans, air conditioners, treadmills, range hoods, vacuum cleaners, juicers, blenders, refrigerators, water pumps, fish tanks, microwave ovens, induction cookers, electric drills, washing machines, mercury lamps, high-pressure street lamps, fluorescent lamps, metal halide lamps, motors, compressors, speakers, relays, transformers, cutting machines, routers, computer hosts, and other appliances.
  • Capacitive load appliances (maximum power 850W): Power banks, batteries, appliances that can store electrical energy, etc.

Note: It is strictly forbidden to use this product for charging mining machines and new energy vehicles.

7. User Tips

  • Initial Pairing: For the first-time setup, ensure your phone is close to the smart plug and connected to the 2.4GHz WiFi network. If pairing fails, try resetting the plug (refer to the app for specific reset instructions, usually a long press on the power button).
  • Device Naming: Use simple, distinct names for your smart plugs in the eWelink app (e.g., "Living Room Lamp", "Bedroom Fan") to make voice control easier and more reliable.
  • Power Monitoring Insights: Regularly check the energy monitoring feature in the app to identify power-hungry appliances and optimize your energy usage.
  • Smart Scene Automation: Explore the 'Smart Scene' feature to automate routines. For example, set a scene to turn off all lights and appliances connected to smart plugs when you leave home.
