5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Headset

Before first use, fully charge the headset. Connect the USB-A to USB-C charging cable to the headset's USB-C port and a power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The headset supports charging while in use via a wired connection.

5.2 Connecting to Devices

The ATK M1 offers three connection modes:

5.2.1 2.4G Wireless Connection (Recommended for Gaming)

  1. Insert the 2-in-1 USB-A/C 2.4G transmitter into an available USB port on your PC, console (PS4/PS5/Switch), or other compatible device.
  2. Ensure the headset is powered on and the connection mode switch on the headset is set to 2.4G mode.
  3. The headset should automatically connect to the transmitter. An indicator light on the headset will confirm the connection.

5.2.2 Bluetooth 5.3 Connection

  1. Ensure the headset is powered on and the connection mode switch is set to Bluetooth mode.
  2. On your device (smartphone, tablet, PC), go to Bluetooth settings and search for available devices.
  3. Select "ATK M1" from the list of devices to pair.
  4. The headset's indicator light will confirm successful pairing.

5.2.3 Wired Connection

  1. Connect one end of the USB-C to 3.5mm audio cable to the headset's USB-C port.
  2. Connect the other end of the 3.5mm audio jack to your device's 3.5mm audio output.
  3. The headset will function as a wired headset.

5.3 ATK HUB Software Installation (for PC users, M1 model only)

For advanced customization and optimal performance on PC, download and install the ATK HUB software from the official ATK website. This software allows you to:

  • Adjust EQ settings.
  • Customize virtual 7.1 surround sound.
  • Manage microphone settings and voice clarity.
  • Control lighting effects.

6. Operating Instructions

The ATK M1 features intuitive controls for easy operation:

  • Power Button:
    • Press and hold for 3 seconds: Power On/Off.
    • Double-click: Switch between Game Mode and Music Mode.
  • Microphone Button:
    • Single-click: Turn Microphone On/Off.
    • Double-click: Turn Ambient Lighting On/Off.
  • Volume Roller:
    • Scroll up/down: Adjust Volume.
  • Connection Mode Switch:
    • Slide up/down: Switch between 2.4G and Bluetooth connection modes.

6.1 Adjusting Headband and Earcups

The headband can be adjusted by sliding it up or down to find a comfortable fit. The earcups can rotate 90 degrees for better fit and portability.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the headset. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. For earmuffs, gently wipe with a damp cloth if necessary and allow to air dry completely.
  • Storage: Store the headset in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the provided velvet bag for protection when not in use.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the headset frequently. Charge the headset regularly, even if not in use for extended periods. The NTC temperature control technology helps manage battery health during charging and use.
  • Cable Management: Avoid sharp bends or kinks in the cables to prevent damage.

8. Troubleshooting

  • No Sound:
    • Check if the headset is powered on and fully charged.
    • Ensure the correct connection mode (2.4G, Bluetooth, or wired) is selected and properly connected to your device.
    • Verify the volume on both the headset and your device is turned up.
    • For PC, check sound output settings to ensure the headset is selected as the default device.
  • Microphone Not Working:
    • Ensure the microphone is not muted (single-click the microphone button).
    • Check microphone input settings on your device.
    • For PC, ensure the ATK M1 microphone is selected as the input device.
  • Connection Issues (2.4G/Bluetooth):
    • Ensure the headset is within range of the transmitter/device.
    • Try re-pairing the Bluetooth connection or re-inserting the 2.4G transmitter.
    • Avoid interference from other wireless devices.
  • Battery Not Charging:
    • Ensure the charging cable is securely connected to both the headset and the power source.
    • Try a different USB port or charging adapter.
    • Note: The headset cannot use a charger for charging; it can only be charged via a data cable connected to a computer or compatible USB power source.
  • Software Issues (ATK HUB):
    • Ensure the ATK HUB software is up to date.
    • Restart the software or your computer.
    • Reinstall the ATK HUB software if problems persist.

9. User Tips

  • Optimize for Gaming: For competitive gaming, always use the 2.4G wireless connection for the lowest latency. Utilize the Game Mode and fine-tune virtual 7.1 surround sound settings via the ATK HUB software for precise audio cues.
  • Comfort Adjustment: Take advantage of the 13-level adjustable headband and 90° rotating earcups to find the most comfortable fit for long gaming or listening sessions.
  • Battery Management: While the headset supports charging while playing, for optimal battery health, try to charge it when not in active use.
