4. Setup

4.1. Battery Installation

Insert the 1500mAh battery pack into the compartment on the back of the radio, ensuring it clicks securely into place. To remove, press the release latch and slide the battery out.

4.2. Antenna Attachment

Screw the antenna clockwise into the connector on the top of the radio until it is firmly seated. Do not overtighten.

4.3. Charging the Battery

The BF-888SD supports convenient Type-C USB charging. Connect the provided Type-C cable to the radio's charging port and to a compatible USB power source. The LED indicator will show charging status.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off and Volume Control

Rotate the Power/Volume Knob (3) clockwise to turn on the radio and adjust the volume. Rotate counter-clockwise until a click is heard to turn off the radio.

5.2. Channel Selection

The BF-888SD supports 16 channels. Use the Encoder (2) to select your desired communication channel. Ensure all radios in your group are on the same channel for communication.

5.3. Transmitting and Receiving

To transmit, press and hold the PTT (Push-to-Talk) button (8) and speak clearly into the built-in microphone (7). Release the PTT button to receive messages.

The BF-888SD features AI Noise Reduction to improve call quality in noisy environments. This function can be activated with a single click, providing clearer sound and more comfortable listening.
