6. Troubleshooting

Q: Does the camera support 5GHz Wi-Fi?
A: No, the camera only works with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. If your router supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, please separate the two bands and connect the camera to the 2.4GHz band.
Q: Is this camera waterproof?
A: Yes, the camera has an IP66 weatherproofing rating, ensuring full functionality in various weather conditions, from -10°C to 50°C.
Q: Do I have to subscribe to a cloud service?
A: No, most functions do not require cloud storage or a micro SD card. The camera can record 12-second event clips for the last 24 hours without a card or cloud. For longer video recordings, you will need to insert a micro SD card (up to 128GB) or subscribe to the cloud service.
Q: Is the camera wired or battery-powered?
A: The camera is primarily wired and needs to be plugged in to operate. However, it is designed to work with a solar panel which charges an internal rechargeable battery (5200mAh) to provide continuous power and backup, especially useful for maintaining operation during power outages or in locations where constant mains power is difficult to provide.
Q: The camera won't connect to Wi-Fi.
