8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your BW-TH16, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Display Output:
    • Ensure your host device's USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode.
    • Check the HDMI cable connection between the docking station and the monitor. The LCD display might show "No Monitor Plug Check HDMI Cable" if there's an issue.
    • Try a different HDMI cable or monitor.
    • Ensure your display is set to the correct input source.
  • No Power Delivery (PD) Charging:
    • Ensure your host device's USB-C port supports Power Delivery.
    • Verify that your USB-C power adapter and cable are functioning correctly and are connected to the 'PD' port on the BW-TH16. The LCD display might show "PD Disconnected Check Cable" if there's an issue.
    • Check the power output displayed on the LCD screen.
  • USB Devices Not Recognized:
    • Ensure the USB device is properly inserted into the USB 3.1 port.
    • Try connecting the USB device directly to your host device to confirm it's working.
    • If using a high-power USB device (e.g., external hard drive), ensure the docking station is connected to a power source via the PD port.
  • SD/TF Cards Not Detected:
    • Ensure the memory card is fully inserted into the correct slot.
    • Try a different memory card to rule out card issues.
  • Overheating:
    • Ensure the docking station's ventilation openings are not obstructed.
    • Reduce the number of connected high-power devices if possible.
