Setup
The MMD KM21Pro offers versatile connectivity options. No drivers are required for basic functionality.
Connectivity Modes
The keypad supports three connection modes:
- Bluetooth: For wireless connection to compatible devices.
- Wireless 2.4G: Using the included USB dongle for a stable wireless connection.
- USB (Wired): Connect directly via the USB-C cable. This mode also charges the keypad.

The keypad features dual USB 2.0 HUB ports, allowing you to connect other USB devices such as a U disk, drawing board, Bluetooth receiver, gamepad wireless receiver, or other peripherals directly to the keypad, effectively expanding your available USB ports.
Hot-Swap Switches
The MMD KM21Pro features full key hot-swap sockets, allowing you to easily replace the key switches without soldering. This enables customization of typing feel and sound.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your MMD KM21Pro keypad, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the keycaps and the keyboard body with a soft, dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, remove keycaps and use compressed air to clear debris from between switches.
- Switch Replacement: When replacing hot-swap switches, use a switch puller to gently remove the old switch and carefully align and insert the new switch. Ensure the pins are straight to avoid damage.
- Storage: Store the keypad in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid Liquids: Keep liquids away from the keypad to prevent damage to internal components.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your MMD KM21Pro, try the following steps:
- No Response:
- Ensure the keypad is fully charged or connected via USB.
- Check the connection mode (Bluetooth, 2.4G, USB) and ensure it matches your device's connection.
- For 2.4G wireless, ensure the USB dongle is securely plugged into your computer.
- For Bluetooth, ensure the keypad is paired correctly with your device. Try re-pairing if necessary.
- Test on a different USB port or computer to rule out port or system issues.
- Keys Not Registering:
- Check if any keycaps are loose or switches are dislodged.
- If using hot-swap switches, ensure they are fully seated in their sockets.
- Clean any debris that might be obstructing the switches.
- Customization Issues:
- Ensure you are using the correct VIA software version for your keypad.
- Verify that the keypad is connected in a mode compatible with VIA (usually USB wired).

Quality Assurance Notes
Please be aware of the following manufacturing characteristics:
- The front of the keyboard may have minor blemishes (e.g., pits, air bubbles, bumps, black spots) not exceeding 1mm in size. The sides and bottom may have up to 5 such blemishes not exceeding 1mm.
- At a 0.30-meter viewing distance, the exterior should show no obvious tool marks or scratches. Chamfers on workpieces and joints may have slight tool marks.
- The frosted acrylic bottom may contain very small particles or black spots, with a diameter of less than 0.5mm and a spacing greater than 50mm, with a quantity of no more than 5. Minor scratches may be up to 1mm wide and 5mm long, with a quantity of no more than 3.
- Normal tool marks, chamfers, and minor bumps internally are considered normal phenomena.
- The actual color received should be considered accurate. Images may show color differences due to screen, environment, and lighting. We strive to ensure color consistency.
