3. Setup and Installation
The Smart Energy Meter is designed for easy installation with 35mm DIN rail mounting. No need to replace existing wiring; simply clamp the current transformer (CT) onto the live wire.
3.1 Wiring Instructions
Ensure all power is disconnected before attempting any wiring. Incorrect wiring can cause damage to the device or electrical system.
- Connect the main power supply (L and N) to the corresponding terminals on the energy meter.
- For the 1-channel model (QS-WIFI-CT01), connect the CT clamp to the S1 and S2 terminals.
- For the 2-channel model (QS-WIFI-CT02), connect the first CT clamp to S1 and S2, and the second CT clamp to S3 and S4.
- The clamp part of the device is used to physically attach it to the wire or cable in the circuit. This allows for easy installation and removal, and also ensures a secure and reliable connection.
- Important: Clamp only one live wire per CT. Do not clamp two wires with a single CT.

5. Maintenance
The GGBEE Smart Energy Meter requires minimal maintenance. Follow these guidelines to ensure optimal performance:
- Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning.
- Ensure the wiring connections remain secure. Periodically check for any loose connections.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or humidity.
- Do not attempt to open or repair the device yourself, as this may void the warranty and pose safety risks.
6. Troubleshooting
- Device not connecting to Wi-Fi: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. Check your Wi-Fi password. Make sure the device is within range of your router. Try resetting the device by pressing and holding the reset button until the LED indicator blinks rapidly.
- Inaccurate readings: Verify that the CT clamp is correctly installed on a single live wire and is securely closed. Ensure the device is properly calibrated within the Tuya APP settings if a calibration option is available.
- No data in APP: Check the device's power supply and Wi-Fi connection. Ensure the Tuya APP is updated to the latest version.
- LED indicator behavior: A solid LED usually indicates a stable connection. A blinking LED typically means it's in pairing mode or has lost connection. Refer to the APP for specific status messages.
7. User Tips
- For solar PV systems, monitor both production (reverse) and consumption (forward) channels to get a complete picture of your energy usage and generation.
- Utilize the automation features to set alerts for unusual power spikes or drops, which can help identify potential issues or energy waste.
- Regularly check the power statistics in the app to understand your energy patterns and optimize consumption.
- Ensure your Wi-Fi signal is strong at the installation location for reliable data transmission.
