7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Hagibis Video Capture Card, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Signal/Black Screen:
- Ensure all HDMI and USB cables are securely connected.
- Verify that your video source (e.g., game console, camera) is powered on and outputting video.
- Check your computer's display settings to ensure the capture card is recognized as a video input device.
- Confirm that the resolution and refresh rate of your source device are supported by your specific capture card model (THB04 or THB05).
- Try a different HDMI cable or USB port on your computer.
- No Audio:
- Ensure audio settings in your recording/streaming software (e.g., OBS, Potplayer) are correctly configured to use the capture card's audio input.
- Check the volume levels on your computer and in the software.
- If using external audio devices, ensure they are properly connected to the 3.5mm ports.
- Lagging/Stuttering Video:
- Ensure your computer meets the minimum system requirements for video capture and streaming.
- Close unnecessary applications running in the background to free up CPU/GPU resources.
- Lower the capture resolution or frame rate in your software settings.
- Ensure you are using a USB 3.0 port for optimal bandwidth.
- For THB04, if using loop out, ensure the refresh rate is set to 60Hz or less.
- Device Not Recognized:
- Try connecting the capture card to a different USB port on your computer.
- Restart your computer.
- Although plug-and-play, sometimes a system restart can resolve recognition issues.
- HDR/VRR Issues:
- Ensure your display and source device both support HDR/VRR.
- Only the THB05 model supports VRR. If you have the THB04, VRR functionality is not available.
- Check the settings in your game console or PC to ensure HDR/VRR is enabled.
8. User Tips
- Optimal Performance: For the best capture and streaming quality, ensure your computer has sufficient processing power and RAM. Using a dedicated graphics card is also recommended.
- Cable Quality: Always use high-quality HDMI and USB 3.0 cables to prevent signal degradation, especially for 4K resolutions.
- Software Updates: Keep your recording/streaming software (e.g., OBS Studio, Potplayer) updated to the latest version for bug fixes and performance improvements.
