6. Maintenance

  • Solar Panel: Regularly clean the surface of the solar panel to ensure maximum sunlight absorption and efficient charging.
  • Camera Lens: Gently wipe the camera lenses with a soft, clean cloth to remove dust or smudges.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the Ubox app periodically for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Battery Life: The built-in battery is designed for long-term use with solar charging. If the camera is in an area with insufficient sunlight, manual charging may be required occasionally.
  • Weather Protection: The IP65 rating protects against dust and water jets. While durable, avoid submerging the camera in water or exposing it to high-pressure water streams.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 4G Connectivity Issues

  • Regional Compatibility: Ensure your region's 4G frequency bands are supported by the camera. Supported regions include EU Countries, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
  • SIM Card Check: Verify that your 4G SIM card is active, has sufficient data, and does not have a PIN password enabled. If a PIN is active, disable it using a mobile phone before inserting it into the camera.
  • Signal Strength: Check the 4G signal strength at the camera's installation location. Poor signal can affect performance.
  • Blue Lights Not On: If the blue indicator lights are not on during 4G connection attempts, it may indicate a SIM card issue or regional incompatibility. Contact customer support for assistance.

7.2 Camera Not Powering On

  • Ensure the device switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • Verify the battery is charged. Connect the camera to a power source for initial charging if it's the first use or if it has been stored for a long time.

7.3 False Alarms

  • Adjust the sensitivity settings for PIR motion detection in the Ubox app.
  • Ensure the camera's field of view is clear of moving objects like tree branches or flags that could trigger false alarms.
  • The AI+PIR dual verification system is designed to reduce false alarms, but environmental factors can still play a role.

7.4 Camera Not Recording

  • Check if an SD card is properly inserted and formatted.
  • Verify that the SD card has sufficient free space.
  • If using cloud storage, ensure your subscription is active and the camera is properly configured for cloud recording.
