3.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the bicycle and all components from the packaging.
- Remove all protective packaging materials and ties.
- Check for any visible damage during shipping.
3.2 Handlebar Installation
Attach the handlebars to the stem. Ensure they are centered and tightened securely. The MT-008 offers options for drop handlebars with integrated shifters or flat handlebars with Shimano trigger shifters (see Figure 3).

3.3 Seat Post and Saddle Adjustment
Insert the seat post into the frame and adjust the saddle height for comfortable pedaling. The retro seat cushion features spring shock absorption for enhanced comfort (see Figure 4). Ensure the quick-release or bolt is tightened to prevent slippage.

3.4 Pedal Installation
Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. The left pedal has a left-hand thread (tightens counter-clockwise), and the right pedal has a right-hand thread (tightens clockwise). Apply a small amount of grease to the threads and screw them firmly into the crank arms (see Figure 5).

4. Operating Your Bicycle
4.1 Shifting Gears
Your bicycle is equipped with either a 7-speed or 8-speed gear system. Shift gears smoothly by pedaling lightly while operating the shifters. Downshift before climbing hills and upshift when gaining speed on flat terrain or descents.
4.2 Braking
The disc brakes provide strong stopping power. Apply both front and rear brakes simultaneously for controlled stopping. Practice braking in a safe area to get a feel for their responsiveness.
4.3 Headlight Usage
The integrated headlight (see Figure 9) enhances visibility. Turn it on when riding in low-light conditions or at night.

4.4 Using the Kickstand
The bicycle is equipped with a kickstand (see Figure 10) for convenient parking. Ensure the bike is stable before dismounting.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your bicycle.
5.1 Cleaning
Clean your bicycle regularly with mild soap and water. Avoid high-pressure washers directly on bearings and seals.
5.2 Lubrication
- Lubricate the chain every 100-200 miles or after riding in wet conditions.
- Apply a small amount of bicycle-specific lubricant to pivot points on derailleurs and brake levers.
5.3 Brake Inspection
Check brake pads for wear and replace them when necessary. Ensure brake levers feel firm and responsive. Adjust cable tension if brakes feel spongy.
5.4 Tire Care
Regularly check tire pressure and inflate to the recommended PSI. Inspect tires for cuts, punctures, or excessive wear.
5.5 Bolt and Fastener Check
Periodically check all bolts and fasteners on the bicycle, including those on the handlebars, stem, seat post, and wheels, to ensure they are tight.
6. Troubleshooting
- Difficulty Shifting Gears: Check derailleur alignment, cable tension, and ensure the chain is clean and lubricated.
- Brakes Feel Weak: Inspect brake pads for wear, check cable tension, and ensure disc rotors are clean and free of oil.
- Flat Tire: Locate the puncture, patch or replace the inner tube, and ensure the tire is properly seated before re-inflating.
- Creaking Noises: Check for loose bolts on the crankset, pedals, seat post, or handlebars. Lubricate moving parts as needed.
