6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the flash body. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the flash in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the provided storage bag for protection.
  • Battery Care: For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing for extended periods, charge the battery to about 50% every few months.
  • Avoid Impact: The flash is a precision electronic device. Avoid dropping or subjecting it to strong impacts.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Flash not firing:
    • Ensure the flash is securely mounted on the camera's hot shoe.
    • Check if the flash is powered on and the battery has sufficient charge.
    • Verify camera and flash settings are compatible (e.g., flash mode enabled on camera).
  • Flash output too bright/dark:
    • In TTL mode, check flash exposure compensation settings on both camera and flash.
    • In Manual mode, adjust the power level using the '+' and '-' buttons.
    • Ensure magnetic accessories are correctly attached and not obstructing the flash output.
  • Flash not recycling quickly:
    • This may indicate a low battery. Recharge the flash.
    • Recycling time is longer at full power (1/1). Reduce power for faster recycling.
