NOTE: This Bluetooth headset does NOT support intercom functionality.

Controls and Ports

Refer to Figure 2.2 for the location of buttons and ports:

  1. Power Button (1): Power on/off, play/pause music, answer/hang up calls. Also serves as the charging indicator (red).
  2. Next Song / Volume Up Button (2): Press to skip to the next song, long press to increase volume. Indicator light (blue).
  3. Indicator Light (3): Blue for Bluetooth status, green for FM radio status.
  4. Voice Assistant / Light Mode Button (4): Activates AI voice assistant, changes RGB lighting modes.
  5. Previous Song / Volume Down Button (5): Press to go to the previous song, long press to decrease volume. Indicator light (blue).
  6. Speaker/Microphone/Charging Port (6): Connects speakers, microphone, and Type-C charging cable.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Device

  1. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the charging port (6) on the headset.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power source (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter).
  3. The charging indicator (1) will show red during charging. It will turn off or change color (if applicable) when fully charged.
  4. Charging typically takes about 2 hours for a full charge.

4.2 Installing the Headset on Your Helmet

The Y13 headset can be installed using either the clip or Velcro method, depending on your helmet type and preference.

Clip Installation (Recommended for helmets with suitable edges)

  1. Loosen the screws on the helmet mounting clip.
  2. Slide the clip onto the left side edge of your helmet, ensuring it is securely fastened.
  3. Tighten the screws to fix the clip in place.
  4. Slide the Y13 headset unit onto the clip until it clicks into position.

Velcro Installation (Alternative for helmets without suitable edges)

  1. Clean the desired mounting area on the left side of your helmet.
  2. Peel off the backing from one side of the Device Velcro and firmly attach it to the helmet surface.
  3. Attach the corresponding Velcro piece to the back of the Y13 headset unit.
  4. Align and press the headset firmly onto the helmet-mounted Velcro.

4.3 Connecting Speakers and Microphone

  1. Carefully route the speaker wires inside your helmet lining.
  2. Attach the speakers to the inside of your helmet using the provided Horn Velcro, positioning them directly over your ears.
  3. Attach the microphone to the inside of the helmet near your mouth using the Mic Stick Velcro. Ensure it is positioned to pick up your voice clearly without being obstructed.
  4. Plug the speaker and microphone cable into the dedicated port (6) on the Y13 headset unit.

5. Operation

5.1 Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power Button (1) for approximately 3 seconds until you hear a prompt and the indicator light (3) flashes blue.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Power Button (1) for approximately 3 seconds until you hear a prompt and the indicator light turns off.

5.2 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure the headset is powered off.
  2. Press and hold the Power Button (1) for about 5-7 seconds until the indicator light (3) flashes red and blue alternately, indicating pairing mode.
  3. On your mobile phone or Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  4. Select "Y13" from the list of devices.
  5. Once paired, the indicator light (3) will flash blue slowly, and you will hear a confirmation tone.
  6. The headset supports simultaneous connection to two mobile phones. Pair the first device, then put the headset back into pairing mode and pair the second device.

5.3 Music Playback

  • Play/Pause: Short press the Power Button (1).
  • Next Song: Short press the Next Song / Volume Up Button (2).
  • Previous Song: Short press the Previous Song / Volume Down Button (5).
  • Volume Up: Long press the Next Song / Volume Up Button (2).
  • Volume Down: Long press the Previous Song / Volume Down Button (5).

5.4 Call Management

  • Answer Call: Short press the Power Button (1) when an incoming call is received.
  • Automatic Answer: The headset will automatically answer incoming calls after the voice announcement of the phone number.
  • Hang Up Call: Short press the Power Button (1) during a call.
  • Reject Call: Long press the Power Button (1) when an incoming call is received.

5.5 AI Voice Assistant

  • Activate Voice Assistant: Short press the Voice Assistant / Light Mode Button (4).
  • Once activated, you can use voice commands for navigation, music control, and other functions supported by your phone's AI assistant (e.g., Siri, Google Assistant).

5.6 FM Radio

  • Turn On/Off FM Radio: Long press the Voice Assistant / Light Mode Button (4). The indicator light (3) will turn green when FM radio is active.
  • Scan Stations: Short press the Power Button (1) to automatically scan and save available FM stations.
  • Change Station: Use the Next Song / Volume Up Button (2) and Previous Song / Volume Down Button (5) to switch between saved stations.

5.7 RGB Lighting Effects

  • Change Light Mode: Short press the Voice Assistant / Light Mode Button (4) to cycle through the 7 available RGB lighting effects.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the headset unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Water Exposure: While the device is IP56 waterproof, avoid prolonged submersion in water. Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed when not charging.
  • Battery Care: For optimal battery life, charge the device regularly. Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing for a long period, charge the battery to about 50% every few months.
  • Storage: Store the headset in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Cable Care: Handle the charging cable and speaker/microphone cables gently to prevent damage.

7. Troubleshooting
