1. Introduction

4. Setup Guide

1. Install SIM Card: Open the battery compartment and insert a valid 2G/3G/4G SIM card into the designated slot. Ensure it is a real-name telephone SIM card if you intend to use call and messaging functions.
2. Install Battery: Place the 4000mAh rechargeable battery into its compartment, ensuring proper alignment of the contacts. Close the battery cover securely.
3. Attach Antenna: Screw the provided antenna clockwise onto the antenna connector at the top of the device until it is finger-tight.
4. Initial Charge: Connect the Type-C data cable to the device's Type-C port and the power adapter. Plug the adapter into a power outlet. Allow the device to fully charge before first use. The indicator light will show charging status.
5. Power On: Press and hold the Power/Volume knob until the device powers on and the KSUN logo appears on the screen.
6. Network Connection: Once powered on, the device will attempt to connect to the cellular network. You can also connect to a Wi-Fi network via the device settings for internet access.
7. App Installation: The device runs Android 9.0 and supports various applications. You can download and install PTT apps like Zello, or other Android applications as needed.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off and Volume

• Power On: Press and hold the Power/Volume knob.
• Power Off: Press and hold the Power/Volume knob, then select 'Power Off' on the screen.
• Adjust Volume: Rotate the Power/Volume knob clockwise to increase volume, counter-clockwise to decrease.

5.2 Push-to-Talk (PTT) Communication

The ZL65 supports PoC (Push-to-Talk over Cellular) functionality through compatible applications like Zello, Walkie Fleet, and Core PTT platforms.

• Ensure a PTT application is installed and configured.
• Join a channel or group within the PTT application.
• Press and hold the PTT key on the side of the device to transmit your voice. Release to listen.

5.3 Phone Calls and Messaging

With a real-name telephone SIM card installed, the device can make and receive calls and send/receive text messages.
