1. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to connect and quickly start your SOYO Mini PC M4 PLUS2:

  1. Insert DC Power Plug: Insert the DC power plug from the adapter into the power interface on the host.
  2. Connect AC Adapter: Connect the AC adapter plug to the AC/DC adapter.
  3. Plug into Power Socket: Plug the AC adapter into the power socket.
  4. Connect Display: Prepare your display screen and connect it to the host using an HDMI cable or DP cable.
  5. Connect Peripherals: Prepare your keyboard and mouse and connect them to the host.
  6. Power On: Press the power button on the host to boot up the system. Then follow the prompts to complete user activation and set up the system.

2. Operating Instructions

CLR CMOS Key Usage

The CLR CMOS key is used for clearing system BIOS settings and restoring BIOS default settings. Do NOT press this key when the machine is used normally unless absolutely necessary.

To use the CLR CMOS key, follow these steps:

  1. Power Off: Firstly, turn the mini PC off or perform a forced shutdown, and unplug the power cord. (Do NOT press this key after system startup and power connection, as this is an illegal operation.)
  2. Activate CLR CMOS: After the machine is shut down and powered off, align a needle with the CLR CMOS hole and poke it gently. You will feel a key feedback when it's successfully pushed.
  3. Restart: After successful push and plugging the power cord again, the machine will start automatically to enter the system. It does not require pressing the power button for startup once again.

3. Maintenance and Precautions

  • Always purchase and use memory and hard disk from reputable brands.
  • Avoid proximity to water sources or damp areas, such as bathrooms, kitchens, basements, and swimming pools.
  • Ensure that the equipment is installed and placed in a stable position. Dropping it may result in personal injury or equipment damage.
  • Store and use the equipment in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place. Keep a safe distance from radiation and heat sources.
  • Do not cover or block the ventilation holes on the device's shell. Avoid using it on surfaces like beds, sofas, blankets, or similar objects.
  • The required supply voltage range for equipment operation is indicated on the label on the rear shell. If you are unsure about the supplied voltage, consult your dealer or local power company.
  • When the equipment is not in use for an extended period, disconnect the power supply to prevent damage from electrical shocks and power voltage abnormalities during thunderstorms.
  • Use a properly grounded socket and avoid overloading it to prevent the risk of fire or electric shock.
  • Do not insert foreign objects into the machine, as it may cause a short circuit, fire, or electric shock.
  • Avoid attempting to disassemble or repair this product yourself to minimize the risk of electric shock. In case of a failure, please contact the after-sales service personnel directly.
  • Do not excessively pull or twist the power cord.
  • If the power cord of the adapter is damaged, it must be replaced with a specialized component purchased from the manufacturer or maintenance department.
  • This product complies with EMC standards when peripheral devices that comply with the standards are used, along with shielded cables between system components.
  • Use peripheral devices that comply with the standards and employ shielded cables between system components to reduce the possibility of interference with radios, televisions, and other electronic devices.
  • This product contains button cells. Avoid swallowing them, as it may pose a risk of suffocation or chemical burns.
  • Do not dispose of used cells in household waste. Follow the relevant national regulations for safe disposal of used cells.
  • Working environment: Temperature between 0°C and 35°C, humidity between 30% and 85%.
  • Storage environment: Temperature between -20°C and 60°C, humidity between 10% and 90%.

4. Troubleshooting

Q: Why is my web browsing or online video playback slow?
A: This mainly depends on your broadband internet speed. Ensure you have a stable and fast internet connection.
Q: How do I enter the BIOS?
A: The shortcut key to enter the BIOS on this mini PC is the 'Delete' key. Press "Delete" quickly and repeatedly when rebooting to enter the BIOS setup.
