7. Operating Instructions
7.1 Automatic Transfer Mode
When the switch is set to 'Auto' mode, the device will automatically detect the status of the normal power source. If the normal power is lost or becomes abnormal, the ATS will switch to the reserve power source within 8 milliseconds, ensuring an uninterrupted power supply to your connected loads. When normal power is restored, the ATS will automatically switch back to the normal power source.

Figure 7.1: The ATS switch provides automatic switching to backup power within 8ms upon normal power loss, ensuring uninterrupted power.
7.2 Manual Control
The ATS switch features a manual handle that allows you to manually select between Normal Power A and Reserve Power B. This is useful for maintenance or specific operational requirements where automatic switching is not desired. To switch manually, rotate the handle to the desired power source (A or B).
7.3 eWeLink App Control
Once connected to the eWeLink app, you can remotely control the ATS switch. The app allows you to:
- Monitor the current power source (Normal or Reserve).
- Manually switch between Normal Power and Reserve Power.
- Set schedules for automatic switching at specific times.
- Receive notifications regarding power status changes.
8. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and reliable operation of your ATS switch.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the switch with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inspection: Annually inspect all wiring connections for tightness and signs of wear or corrosion. Check for any physical damage to the switch housing or components.
- Testing: Periodically test the automatic transfer function by temporarily disconnecting the normal power source to ensure the switch transfers to backup power correctly.
9. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ATS switch, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Power Transfer:
- Check if both normal and backup power sources are active.
- Ensure the switch is in 'Auto' mode for automatic transfer.
- Verify all wiring connections are correct and secure.
- WiFi Connection Issues:
- Ensure your WiFi network is active and within range.
- Confirm the correct WiFi password was entered during setup.
- Try resetting the ATS switch (press reset key for 5 seconds) and re-pairing with the eWeLink app.
- Check if the eWeLink app is updated to the latest version.
- Indicators Not Lighting Up:
- Verify that power is supplied to the ATS switch.
- Check for loose connections or blown fuses in the power supply lines.
10. User Tips
- For critical applications, regularly test your backup power source and the ATS functionality to ensure readiness.
- Utilize the eWeLink app's scheduling feature to manage power sources efficiently, especially if you have varying power costs or specific times you prefer to use backup power.
- Consider installing a surge protector upstream of the ATS to protect both the switch and connected appliances from power surges.
