4. Initial Setup

4.1 Charging the Batteries

1. Drone Battery: Insert the drone battery into the drone. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the drone's charging port and a suitable USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator will show the charging status. Charge for approximately 90 minutes until fully charged.
2. Remote Control Battery: The remote control has a built-in lithium battery. Connect the USB charging cable to the remote control's charging port and a USB power adapter.

4.2 Propeller Installation

If propellers are not pre-installed, attach them according to the markings (A and B) on the propellers and motor arms. Ensure they are securely fastened using the provided screwdriver.

4.3 Power On and Pairing

1. Place the drone on a flat, level surface.
2. Press and hold the power button on the drone until the indicator lights turn on.
3. Press and hold the power button on the remote control to turn it on.
4. The drone and remote control will automatically pair. The indicator lights on both devices will become solid when pairing is successful.

4.4 App Connection (WiFi FPV)

1. Download the dedicated drone control app from your mobile device's app store.
2. Turn on the drone and remote control.
3. On your mobile device, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the drone's Wi-Fi network (usually named something like "M66 Max_XXXX").
4. Open the drone control app. You should see the live camera feed from the drone.

5.1 Remote Control Guide

• Throttle: Controls altitude (up/down).
• Direction Lever: Controls forward/backward, left/right flight.
• Switch: Power on/off for remote.
• Take off/Land: One-click takeoff and landing.
• Obstacle Avoidance Switch: Activates/deactivates obstacle avoidance.
• Lens Adjustment: Adjusts the angle of the front camera.
• Headless/Return: Short press for Headless Mode, long press for Auto Return (if available).
• Roll Speed Adjustment: Adjusts flight speed.

1. Takeoff: Press the 'Take off/Land' button or push both joysticks diagonally outwards to start motors, then push the throttle up.
2. Landing: Press the 'Take off/Land' button again, or slowly pull the throttle down until the drone lands.
3. Altitude Hold: The drone will automatically maintain its current altitude when the throttle is released.
4. Optical Flow Positioning: Provides stable hovering, especially useful for beginners.

• Four-Sided Intelligent Obstacle Avoidance: When activated, the drone will automatically detect and avoid obstacles in front, back, left, and right directions, reducing the risk of collisions.
