Setup
Setting the Time and Date
- To set the date: Gently pull the crown out to the first click position. Rotate the crown either clockwise or counter-clockwise (depending on the movement) until the correct date is displayed.
- To set the time: Pull the crown out to the second click position. Rotate the crown to move the hands clockwise until the correct time is displayed. Ensure you pass 12 o'clock if setting for PM.
- Once the time and date are set, push the crown back fully into its original position to ensure water resistance.
Winding the Watch
The BENYAR 5211 is an automatic mechanical watch, meaning it self-winds with the natural motion of your wrist. However, if the watch has stopped or has not been worn for an extended period, it may need to be manually wound to build an initial power reserve.
- With the crown in its original, pushed-in position (position 0), rotate the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This will build up an initial power reserve.
- Avoid over-winding; stop when you feel resistance or after the recommended turns.
- For optimal performance, wear the watch daily for at least 8-10 hours.

Operating Your Watch
Wearing the Watch
Ensure the watch is comfortably fitted on your wrist. The automatic movement relies on your arm's motion to keep the mainspring wound. Consistent wear helps maintain its power reserve.
Water Resistance
Your BENYAR 5211 watch is rated for 3 ATM (30 meters) water resistance. This means it is suitable for daily use, such as splashes, rain, and hand washing. However, it is not suitable for showering, bathing, swimming, snorkeling, or any water-related work where it might be submerged.

Luminous Display
The hands and hour markers of your watch are treated with a luminous material, allowing for readability in low-light conditions after exposure to light.

Maintenance
Cleaning and Care
- Regularly wipe your watch with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust, sweat, and fingerprints.
- Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold), sudden temperature changes, or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
- Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields, as these can affect the accuracy of the mechanical movement.
- Avoid strong impacts or dropping the watch.
- When not wearing the watch, store it in a dry, safe place, ideally in its original box or a watch case.
Troubleshooting
Watch Not Running
- Insufficient Power Reserve: As an automatic watch, it requires motion to wind. If the watch has stopped, manually wind it by rotating the crown clockwise 30-40 times (with the crown pushed in). Then, wear it for several hours.
- Prolonged Inactivity: If the watch has not been worn for a long time, it may take some time to restart and stabilize its accuracy after winding.
Inaccurate Timekeeping
- Low Power Reserve: Ensure the watch is fully wound, either manually or by wearing it consistently.
- Magnetization: Exposure to strong magnetic fields (e.g., from speakers, smartphones, or certain appliances) can affect the watch's accuracy. If you suspect magnetization, a professional watchmaker can demagnetize it.
- Impact: A severe impact can affect the internal mechanism. If accuracy issues persist after ensuring sufficient power reserve and demagnetization, professional inspection is recommended.
