4. Compatibility & Pre-Installation Check

Before proceeding with installation, it is crucial to verify compatibility with your vehicle. This unit is designed for Chevrolet AVEO models from 2011-2013. Please ensure your vehicle's center console and original radio backplate match the correct configurations shown below.

Important Notes:

• Our products do not support the center consoles and CD backplates marked as "Wrong".
• The wire harness provided is NOT compatible with premium factory sound systems (e.g., BOSE), amplified sound systems, or Onstar systems. Verify your vehicle's original sound system specifications.
• If your car connector has been refitted or if you have a factory camera or amplifier, please consult with a professional installer before purchasing or installing.

5. Installation

Professional installation is highly recommended. Incorrect wiring can damage the unit or your vehicle. Always disconnect the car battery before starting installation.

General Installation Steps:

1. Remove Original Unit: Carefully remove the existing car radio and trim from your Chevrolet AVEO dashboard. Refer to your vehicle's service manual for specific instructions.
2. Connect Wiring Harness: Connect the provided power cable, RCA cable, and other necessary cables to the car's wiring harness. Ensure all connections are secure. The Canbus decoder should be integrated as per the wiring diagram.
3. Install GPS Antenna: Mount the GPS antenna in a location with a clear view of the sky, typically on the dashboard or under the windshield.
4. Connect USB Cables: Route the USB cables to a convenient location, such as the glove compartment or center console.
5. Connect Rear Camera (Optional): If installing a rear view camera, connect its input cable to the designated port on the main unit and route the camera cable to the rear of the vehicle.
6. Install 4G Module (S6 Version Only): If you have the S6 version, insert your 4G SIM card into the 4G module and connect it to the main unit.
7. Mount New Unit: Secure the new Camecho unit into the dashboard using the provided installation frame and tools.
8. Test Functionality: Reconnect the car battery and turn on the ignition. Test all functions of the car radio, including audio, touch screen, GPS, Bluetooth, and steering wheel controls.

7.3. Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto

To use Wireless CarPlay or Android Auto, ensure your phone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled. Pair your phone with the car radio via Bluetooth, then follow the on-screen prompts to establish the wireless connection. Once connected, your phone's compatible apps will appear on the car radio display.

7.4. Split Screen

To activate split screen, open an application, then swipe from the side or use the designated split-screen button (if available in your UI) to select a second application. You can drag the divider to adjust the size of each app window.
