6. Setup

6.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the PT2000 using the provided USB Type-C cable. Connect the cable to the Type-C port on the device and a 5V/2A power adapter (not included). The charging indicator will show the charging status.

6.2 Mounting the Pan Tilt Head

  1. To a Tripod: The base of the PT2000 has a 1/4" universal threaded connector. Screw the pan tilt head onto a compatible tripod or monopod.
  2. Leveling: Use the integrated leveling device (bubble level) to ensure the pan tilt head is perfectly horizontal before mounting your camera. Adjust your tripod legs as needed.

6.3 Mounting Your Camera/Device

  1. Attach your camera, smartphone (with a phone clip), or other compatible device to the quick release plate using the 1/4" screw. Ensure it is securely tightened.
  2. Slide the quick release plate with your device into the slot on the pan tilt head until it locks into place.
  3. Verify that the device is stable and balanced on the pan tilt head.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button on the pan tilt head to turn it on or off. The display will illuminate when powered on.

7.2 Remote Control Operation

The PT2000 uses a 2.4G wireless remote control. Ensure the remote is paired with the pan tilt head (refer to specific pairing instructions in the full manual if available, otherwise it should be pre-paired).

  • Joystick Control: Use the joystick on the remote to manipulate the pan (horizontal) and tilt (vertical) movements. The speed can be adjusted through 8 grades for both axes.
  • Channel Selection: The remote supports channels 00-99. Ensure the remote and pan tilt head are set to the same channel for proper communication.

7.3 AB Point Switching

The PT2000 allows you to set two specific shooting angles (A and B points) and switch between them with a single button press. This is ideal for repetitive shots or dynamic transitions.

  1. Manually position the camera to your desired 'A' point and save it using the designated button on the control panel or remote.
  2. Move the camera to your desired 'B' point and save it.
  3. Press the AB switch button to toggle between the two saved positions.

7.4 Time-Lapse Photography

The PT2000 supports time-lapse photography with a timed shutter release cable (included). Connect the shutter release cable from the pan tilt head to your camera's remote port. Configure the time-lapse settings (interval, duration, etc.) on the PT2000's control panel or via the remote.

7.5 Panorama Mode

Engage the panorama mode for automated 360-degree horizontal rotation, allowing you to capture stunning panoramic shots. Refer to the device's display for specific panorama settings and progress.

8. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the pan tilt head. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

  • Battery Care: For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing for extended periods, charge the battery to about 50-70% every few months.

9. Troubleshooting

  • Device not powering on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source and try again.
  • Remote control not responding: Check if the remote's battery is charged. Verify that the remote and pan tilt head are set to the same channel. Ensure you are within the effective remote distance (>40m).
  • Unstable movement: Ensure the camera/device is securely mounted and does not exceed the 2.2KG load capacity. Check that the pan tilt head is level.
  • Time-lapse not triggering: Confirm the shutter release cable is correctly connected to both the PT2000 and your camera's remote port. Check camera settings for external trigger compatibility.
