Operating Instructions
Video Recording
- 2K Super HD Resolution: The dash cam records in 2K 1296P (2304x1296) resolution, ensuring clear and detailed footage.
- Loop Recording: The device automatically overwrites the oldest files when the Micro SD card is full, ensuring continuous recording without manual intervention. You can set loop recording intervals (e.g., 1, 2, or 3 minutes).
- Emergency Recording: In the event of a collision or sudden impact, the built-in G-sensor will trigger emergency recording, automatically locking the current footage to prevent it from being overwritten.
- Time-lapse Recording: This feature shrinks 30 minutes of real-time footage into 1 minute, saving storage space. This function requires a separately purchased hardwire kit for continuous power.

Advanced Features
- 360° Rotation & 180° Video Flip: The dash cam can be rotated 360° on its mount for flexible angle adjustment. The 180° video flip feature ensures that footage is always recorded upright, regardless of mounting orientation (windshield or dashboard), and is useful for recording the interior of the car.
- NightEagle™ Engine (Color Night Vision): KAWA's proprietary NightEagle™ Engine technology enhances critical details like license plates in low-light conditions, providing clearer and more colorful nighttime footage for safer driving.
- WDR Technology: Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology intelligently balances highlights and shadows, capturing clear, detailed footage even in challenging lighting conditions such as bright sunlight or entering/exiting tunnels.

Parking Monitoring (24/7 Protection)
When your vehicle is parked, the dash cam automatically switches to parking mode to monitor and protect it. It detects unusual motion or impacts and starts recording immediately. This feature helps prevent collisions and scratches while your car is unattended.
Note: Parking monitoring requires an additional parking power cable (hardwire kit) for continuous power supply, which must be purchased separately.
Maintenance
- Clean the Lens: Regularly clean the dash cam lens with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure optimal video clarity.
- Micro SD Card Care: Periodically (e.g., monthly) format your Micro SD card using the KAWA App or a computer to maintain performance and prevent data corruption. Always back up important footage before formatting.
- Secure Mounting: Ensure the dash cam remains securely mounted to prevent vibrations that could affect video quality or cause the device to fall.
- Software Updates: Check the KAWA App regularly for firmware updates to ensure your dash cam has the latest features and improvements.
Troubleshooting
- Dash cam not powering on:
- Check the car charger connection and ensure it's firmly plugged into both the dash cam and the car's power outlet.
- Verify that the vehicle's ignition is on. If using a hardwire kit, ensure it is correctly installed and receiving power. - Recording issues (e.g., not recording, corrupted files):
- Ensure the Micro SD card is inserted correctly and is a Class 10 or higher.
- Format the Micro SD card. If issues persist, try a different, high-quality Micro SD card.
- Check for sufficient storage space on the card. Loop recording should manage this automatically, but a full card can indicate a problem. - WiFi connection problems:
- Ensure the KAWA App is updated to the latest version.
- Restart both the dash cam and your smartphone.
- Check your phone's Wi-Fi settings to ensure it's connected to the dash cam's Wi-Fi hotspot. - Voice control not responding:
- Ensure the environment inside the car is not excessively noisy.
- Speak clearly and use the exact supported commands (e.g., "Take photo").
- Check the voice control settings in the KAWA App. - Poor video quality at night:
- Ensure the windshield area in front of the dash cam lens is clean.
- While NightEagle™ Engine and WDR technology optimize night vision, extreme low-light conditions may still affect overall clarity.
User Tips
- For optimal performance and reliability, always use a high-quality Micro SD card from a reputable brand, rated Class 10 or higher.
- Consider purchasing a KAWA hardwire kit separately to enable continuous parking monitoring and time-lapse recording features, providing enhanced vehicle protection.
- Regularly review and back up any important footage to your phone or computer to prevent accidental overwriting during loop recording.
- Keep the KAWA App updated to benefit from the latest features, bug fixes, and performance improvements.
