Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the mouse. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure no moisture enters the device.
- Sensor Care: Keep the optical sensor area on the bottom of the mouse clean and free from dust or debris for optimal tracking performance.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the mouse frequently. Charge it regularly, and if storing for an extended period, ensure it has a partial charge.
- Storage: Store the mouse in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
- Mouse not responding: Check the battery level. Ensure the mouse is switched ON and in the correct connection mode (Wired, 2.4G, or BT).
- 2.4G Wireless connection issues: Ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port. Try a different USB port. Ensure the mouse is close to the receiver (within 10m).
- Bluetooth connection issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device. Re-enter pairing mode on the mouse and re-pair with your device. Ensure your device supports Bluetooth 5.1.
- DPI not changing: Ensure the mouse is powered on. If using custom DPI settings, verify the 'SMAYWOLF M8 drive' software settings.
- Lag or intermittent disconnection: This could be due to interference. Try moving the mouse closer to the receiver/device, or move other wireless devices away. Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged.
