4.2. Power Connection

The ANDELI MCT-416P supports dual voltage input (AC110V-240V). Ensure the power switch is in the OFF position before connecting to a power source. Connect the power input cable to a suitable electrical outlet.

4.3. Grounding

Attach the ground clamp securely to the workpiece or a dedicated grounding point. Proper grounding is essential for safety and effective welding/cutting.

4.4. Gas and Air Connections

  • For MIG/TIG Welding: Connect the gas pipe from your gas cylinder (e.g., Argon, CO2, or mixed gas) to the MIG Gas Connector or CUT Gas/TIG Gas Connector via the air pressure regulator. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
  • For Plasma Cutting (HF CUT): Connect an air compressor to the Air Filter Regulator Connection. The air pressure regulator will control the airflow for cutting.

4.5. Torch and Accessory Connection

Connect the appropriate torch (MIG, TIG, or CUT) to its respective connector on the front panel. Ensure all connections are firm. Insert electrodes, tips, or welding wire as required for your chosen process.

5. Operating Modes

The MCT-416P offers 7 distinct functions for various applications.

6-in-1 Multiprocess Welding Machine Modes
Figure 5.1: Multiprocess Welding Machine Modes

5.1. HF CUT (Plasma Cutting)

Designed for high-speed, precise cutting of various metals. Ideal for automotive fabrication, artistic metalwork, and precision engineering.

  • Cutting Thickness: Up to 12mm (0.59") at 110V, and up to 15mm (0.59") at 220V.
  • Ensure air compressor is connected and regulated.

  • Check Connections: Periodically inspect all electrical and gas/air connections for tightness and wear. Replace any damaged cables or hoses.
  • Torch Maintenance: Clean torch nozzles, tips, and electrodes regularly. Replace worn consumables to maintain weld quality.
  • Screen Shield: Keep the transparent screen shield clean for clear visibility. Replace if it becomes scratched or damaged.
  • Air Filter: For plasma cutting, regularly check and clean or replace the air filter in the air pressure regulator.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your welder, refer to the following general troubleshooting steps. For complex problems, contact customer support.

  • No Power: Check the power cable connection, ensure the power switch is on, and verify the power outlet is functional.
  • No Arc: Ensure the ground clamp is securely attached to the workpiece. Check torch connections and consumables (electrode, tip, nozzle). Verify correct mode and parameters are selected.
  • Poor Weld Quality: Adjust welding parameters (current, voltage, wire speed). Check gas flow and type. Ensure workpiece is clean and free of contaminants. Inspect consumables for wear.
  • Overheating: If the machine shuts down due to overheating, allow it to cool down. Ensure ventilation openings are clear and the fan is operating. Reduce duty cycle or current if consistently overheating.
  • Gas Flow Issues: Check gas cylinder pressure, regulator settings, and hose connections for leaks.
