4.3. Grounding
Attach the ground clamp securely to the workpiece or a dedicated grounding point. Proper grounding is essential for safety and effective welding/cutting.
4.4. Gas and Air Connections
- For MIG/TIG Welding: Connect the gas pipe from your gas cylinder (e.g., Argon, CO2, or mixed gas) to the MIG Gas Connector or CUT Gas/TIG Gas Connector via the air pressure regulator. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
- For Plasma Cutting (HF CUT): Connect an air compressor to the Air Filter Regulator Connection. The air pressure regulator will control the airflow for cutting.
4.5. Torch and Accessory Connection
Connect the appropriate torch (MIG, TIG, or CUT) to its respective connector on the front panel. Ensure all connections are firm. Insert electrodes, tips, or welding wire as required for your chosen process.
5. Operating Modes
The MCT-416P offers 7 distinct functions for various applications.

5.1. HF CUT (Plasma Cutting)
Designed for high-speed, precise cutting of various metals. Ideal for automotive fabrication, artistic metalwork, and precision engineering.
- Cutting Thickness: Up to 12mm (0.59") at 110V, and up to 15mm (0.59") at 220V.
- Ensure air compressor is connected and regulated.

5.2. PULSE MIG Welding
Perfect for advanced materials, thin metals, and applications demanding high aesthetic quality. Provides a stronger, more controlled weld bead.

5.3. SYN. MIG / MAN MIG Welding (CO2/MIX/FLUX)
Standard MIG welding for a wide range of materials. Use SYN. MIG for synergistic control or MAN MIG for manual parameter adjustment. Suitable for ordinary thin steel, iron, stainless steel, low-carbon steel, and aluminum (with appropriate setup).
5.4. HF TIG Welding
Enables precise control for flawless welds on thin metals and stainless steel. High-Frequency (HF) start ensures clean arc initiation without touching the workpiece.

5.5. COLD Welding
Ideal for welding thin stainless steel, thin steel, and carbon steel. This process uses a relatively low welding temperature, minimizing deformation and discoloration, resulting in high aesthetic quality. Requires pure argon gas.
5.6. MMA (Stick Welding)
Offers portability, versatility, and strong, reliable joins in challenging environments. Suitable for various electrode types.

5.7. Additional Features

- 2T Non-Self Lock: Quick fixing and tack welding, beginner-friendly.
- 4T Self-Lock: Suitable for production welding, overhead/vertical positions, or critical welds requiring consistency.
- Spot Welding: Provides fast, cost-effective, and durable joins with minimal distortion.
