7. Maintenance

  • Key Fob Batteries: Replace key fob batteries as needed to ensure reliable operation. Low battery can affect remote range and PKE functionality.
  • Control Module: Ensure the control module is kept dry and free from excessive heat or cold. Avoid exposing it to water or direct sunlight.
  • Wiring: Periodically check all wiring connections for any signs of wear or damage. Secure any loose connections.
  • Cleaning: Clean the key fobs and external components with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals.

8. Troubleshooting

8.1. Remote Control Programming Method

If your remote control is not functioning or you need to program additional key fobs (maximum 3):

  1. Keep pressing and holding the white programming switch on the control module and do not release it.
  2. Then, quickly press the "Lock" button once on the remote you plan to program. The indicator light will flash when you press it, indicating successful programming.
  3. If programming is unsuccessful, check if the remote control has batteries or unplug and re-plug the power connector to the control module and try again.
  4. After the remote control is programmed, if the PKE antenna is plugged in and the remote control is nearby, the indicator light will be on for a long time. At this time, the vehicle can be started. If the key is left 5 meters away, the light will turn off and the vehicle cannot be started.
