4. Product Overview (Controls & Features)

Familiarize yourself with the components and controls of your TELESIN Mini Fill Light:

  • Power On/Off & Brightness Adjustment Button: Controls power and adjusts light intensity.
  • Color Temperature Mode Adjustment Button: Cycles through different color temperature settings.
  • Quick-Release Base: Allows for rapid attachment and detachment to compatible mounts.
  • Magnetic Back Panel: Enables attachment to metallic surfaces for versatile positioning.
  • Lanyard Hole: For attaching a wrist strap or lanyard (not included).

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Device

  1. Locate the Type-C charging port on the side of the fill light.
  2. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the port.
  3. Connect the other end of the cable to a 5V/1A USB power adapter (not included).
  4. The indicator light will show charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged). A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours.

5.2 Mounting the Fill Light

The fill light offers two primary mounting methods:

  • Quick-Release Clip:
    1. Align the quick-release base of the fill light with a compatible action camera mount (e.g., on a DJI OSMO Action camera cage or accessory).
    2. Slide the fill light into the mount until it clicks securely into place.
    3. To remove, press the quick-release button and slide the light out.
  • Magnetic Back Panel:
    1. The back of the fill light is magnetic. Simply attach it to any suitable metallic surface.
    2. Ensure the magnetic connection is strong enough to hold the light securely before use.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off and Brightness Adjustment

  1. Power On: Press and hold the Power On/Off & Brightness Adjustment button for approximately 2 seconds.
  2. Brightness Adjustment: Short press the Power On/Off & Brightness Adjustment button to cycle through brightness levels (10% to 100%).
  3. Power Off: Press and hold the Power On/Off & Brightness Adjustment button for approximately 2 seconds.

6.2 Color Temperature Adjustment

  1. With the light powered on, short press the Color Temperature Mode Adjustment button to cycle through the three available color temperature modes:
    • Candlelight Mood (3000K): Warm, soft light for intimate or cozy settings.
    • Morning Glow (4500K): Neutral white light, ideal for general use and natural skin tones.
    • Street Photography Mode (6000K): Cool, bright light for outdoor and dynamic scenes.

6.3 Special Modes

  • SOS Flash Mode: This mode can be activated for emergency signaling. Refer to the specific button sequence in the physical manual if available, or experiment with double-pressing/long-pressing the mode button.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the surface of the fill light with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, ensuring no water enters the charging port.
  • Water Resistance: The device is IPX5 waterproof, meaning it can withstand splashes and light rain. Do not submerge the device in water for extended periods or expose it to high-pressure water jets. Ensure the Type-C port cover is properly sealed when used in wet conditions.
  • Storage: Store the fill light in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for long periods.

8. Troubleshooting

  • The magnetic back panel is excellent for creative lighting angles; try attaching it to unexpected metal surfaces for unique effects.
  • Always ensure the Type-C charging port cover is sealed when using the light in wet conditions to maintain its IPX5 water resistance.
  • Utilize the SOS flash mode for safety during night activities like cycling or hiking.
