4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the digital angle protractor and all accessories from the packaging. Verify that all components are present: the main unit, a charging cable, and this instruction manual.

4.2 Charging the Device
The device is equipped with a built-in 3.7V lithium rechargeable battery. Before first use, or if the battery indicator shows low power, connect the device to a standard USB power source (DC5V 400mA) using the provided Type-C charging cable. The charging port is located on the side of the unit.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Button Functions

- ON/OFF Button (Left): Press to turn the unit on or off. A short press also cycles the laser function.
- HOLD/Tilt% Button (Middle): Press to hold the current reading. Press and hold to switch between angle (°) and slope (%) display modes.
- ZERO Button (Right): Press to set the current position as the relative zero point for relative measurements.
5.2 Basic Measurement
- Place the inclinometer on the surface you wish to measure.
- Press the ON/OFF button to power on the device.
- The display will show the angle relative to the absolute horizontal plane (absolute measurement mode).
- The display automatically inverts for overhead measurements, ensuring easy reading.

5.3 Relative and Absolute Measurement
- Absolute Measurement: This is the default mode, measuring the angle relative to a true horizontal plane.
- Relative Measurement: To measure the angle between two surfaces, place the inclinometer on the first surface and press the ZERO button. The display will show 0.00°. Then, move the inclinometer to the second surface. The display will now show the angle difference between the two surfaces.

5.4 Data Hold Function
To freeze the current measurement on the display, press the HOLD/Tilt% button. The 'HOLD' indicator will appear on the screen. Press the button again to release the hold and resume live measurement.
5.5 Laser Function
With the unit powered on, short press the ON/OFF button to activate or deactivate the dual laser lines. The lasers project from both sides of the unit, aiding in alignment and extending measurement lines.

5.6 Magnetic Base Usage
The four powerful magnets on the base of the inclinometer allow it to be securely attached to ferrous metal surfaces. This is particularly useful for hands-free operation when measuring angles on pipes, metal frames, or machinery.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the display or casing.
- Storage: Store the inclinometer in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge the device regularly, especially if it will not be used for an extended period.
- Avoid Impact: While durable, avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts, which could affect its accuracy.
7. Troubleshooting
- Display is blank: Check if the device is powered on. If it is, the battery might be depleted; connect it to a charger.
- Display turns off unexpectedly: This is a normal power-saving feature. The display turns off after 30 seconds of inactivity, and the unit powers off after 3 minutes. Press any button to reactivate.
- Inaccurate readings: Ensure the measurement surface is clean and free of debris. If persistent, try recalibrating the device (refer to advanced operation if available, or contact support).
- Laser not working: Ensure the unit is powered on and short press the ON/OFF button to toggle the laser.
8. User Tips
- Understanding Logo Variants: SHAHE produces tools with both the SHAHE brand logo and neutral (no logo) versions to meet different customer demands. The functionality and quality remain the same regardless of the logo.
- Optimal Use of Magnets: The strong magnetic base is ideal for securing the device to metal workpieces, ensuring stability and accuracy during measurements, especially on pipes or other curved surfaces.
- Conserving Battery: Utilize the auto-off feature by allowing the device to power down automatically when not in use.
