7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your air fryer, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Air fryer does not turn on. Appliance is not plugged in; power outlet malfunction; basket not fully inserted. Check power cord and outlet; ensure frying basket is pushed in completely.
Food is not cooked evenly. Too much food in the basket; food not shaken/turned during cooking. Cook in smaller batches; shake or turn ingredients halfway through cooking.
White smoke coming from the appliance. Greasy residues from previous use; fatty ingredients being cooked. Clean the basket and crisper plate thoroughly; remove excess fat from ingredients.
Food is not crispy. Ingredients not suitable for air frying; insufficient oil (if required); temperature too low. Ensure ingredients are dry; lightly coat with oil if needed; increase cooking temperature.

9. User Tips

  • Preheat for Best Results: For optimal crispiness and even cooking, preheat your air fryer for 3-5 minutes before adding food.
  • Don't Overcrowd: Avoid filling the basket too much. Cook in batches if necessary to allow hot air to circulate freely around the food.
  • Shake or Flip: For most foods, especially smaller items like fries or nuggets, shaking the basket or flipping the food halfway through cooking ensures even browning.
  • Light Oil Coating: While designed for oil-free cooking, a light spray or toss with a small amount of oil can enhance crispiness and flavor for some foods.
  • Use Parchment Paper: To minimize mess and make cleaning easier, you can line the bottom of the basket (below the crisper plate) with air fryer-safe parchment paper, ensuring it doesn't block airflow.
  • Experiment with Settings: Cooking times and temperatures can vary based on food type, quantity, and desired crispiness. Start with recommended settings and adjust as needed.
