2. Setup

2.1 Initial Winding

As an automatic mechanical watch, it is powered by the movement of your wrist. However, for initial use or after a period of inactivity, manual winding is recommended:

  1. Gently unscrew the crown (if it's a screw-down crown) or pull it out to the first position.
  2. Turn the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This will build up a power reserve.
  3. Push the crown back in and screw it down (if applicable) to ensure water resistance.

2.2 Setting Time, Day, and Date

The OUPINKE 3266 features a multi-function display including day, date, and month subdials.

  1. Setting the Time: Pull the crown out to the outermost position. Turn the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands. Ensure you pass 12 o'clock twice to correctly set AM/PM for the date change mechanism.
  2. Setting the Date: Pull the crown out to the first position. Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the date.
  3. Setting the Day of the Week: While the crown is in the first position, turn it in the opposite direction to adjust the day of the week.
  4. Setting the Month: The month subdial is typically adjusted via a small recessed pusher on the side of the watch case. Use a small, non-sharp tool (like a toothpick) to gently press this button until the correct month is displayed.
  5. Once all settings are correct, push the crown back in and screw it down firmly (if applicable).

2.3 Adjusting the Strap

The watch comes with a tungsten steel bracelet and a push-button hidden clasp (butterfly buckle). If the strap needs adjustment, it is recommended to visit a professional watchmaker to add or remove links for a comfortable fit.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Automatic Self-Winding Movement

Your OUPINKE 3266 watch is equipped with an automatic self-winding mechanical movement. This means it is powered by the natural motion of your arm. When worn regularly (approximately 8-10 hours a day), the watch will remain wound. If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it may stop. In this case, manually wind it as described in the 'Initial Winding' section.

3.2 Luminous Function

The watch features a high-quality luminescent coating on its hands and markers, ensuring clear readability in low-light conditions. Exposure to light will charge the luminous material, allowing it to glow for hours.

3.3 Water Resistance (50M / 10 Bar)

The OUPINKE 3266 watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters (5 ATM or 10 Bar). This means it is suitable for daily use, hand washing, rain, and shallow water activities. It is not recommended for swimming, diving, or hot water activities (e.g., hot showers, saunas) as temperature changes can affect the seals.

Important: Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged to maintain water resistance.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To keep your watch in pristine condition:

  • Wipe the case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth regularly to remove dust and fingerprints.
  • For the stainless steel bracelet, use a soft brush and mild soapy water to clean, then rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry immediately with a soft cloth.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.

4.2 General Care

  • Avoid Shocks: While the watch is shock-resistant, severe impacts can damage the delicate mechanical movement.
  • Temperature Extremes: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or sudden temperature changes, as this can affect accuracy and water resistance.
  • Magnetic Fields: Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields (e.g., speakers, refrigerators, mobile phones, airport security scanners) as magnetism can affect the movement's accuracy. If your watch becomes magnetized, it may need demagnetization by a professional.
  • Crown Position: Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in and screwed down (if applicable) to prevent water and dust from entering the case.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Watch Stops or Runs Slowly

  • Insufficient Winding: If the watch has not been worn for a while or if your daily activity is insufficient, the power reserve may be low. Manually wind the watch by turning the crown clockwise 30-40 times.
  • Magnetization: Exposure to strong magnetic fields can cause the watch to run fast, slow, or stop. If you suspect magnetization, consult a professional watchmaker for demagnetization.

5.2 Condensation Inside the Crystal

  • If you notice condensation or moisture inside the watch crystal, it indicates a breach in water resistance. This should be addressed immediately by a professional watchmaker to prevent damage to the movement.

5.3 Date/Day Not Changing Correctly

  • Ensure the time is set correctly, especially passing 12 AM/PM. The date change mechanism typically engages between 9 PM and 3 AM. Avoid manually adjusting the date or day during this period, as it can damage the movement.

7. User Tips

  • Date Adjustment: When setting the date, avoid adjusting it between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this is when the watch's internal mechanism is engaged in changing the date, and manual adjustment during this time can cause damage.
  • Regular Wear: To ensure consistent timekeeping, wear your automatic watch regularly. If you don't wear it daily, consider using a watch winder to keep it running and maintain its lubrication.
  • Sapphire Crystal Care: While sapphire crystal is highly scratch-resistant, it is not entirely scratch-proof. Avoid unnecessary contact with extremely hard or abrasive surfaces.
