1. Introduction

The XY-BDT is a versatile Bluetooth 5.1 audio pre-tuning board designed for dual-channel stereo sound. It features independent high and low tone adjustments, a 360-degree stepless volume tuning knob, and supports both Bluetooth and AUX audio inputs. This module is ideal for integrating into custom audio projects or upgrading existing sound systems, offering precise control over your audio output.

5. Setup Instructions

5.1 Assembly

1. Place the circuit board onto the lower cover.
2. Secure the upper cover to the circuit board and lower cover using the M2*18 copper pillars and M2*3 screws.
3. Attach the three knob caps to the potentiometers for Volume, Treble, and Bass.

5.2 Power Connection

• Connect a DC 5-24V/1A power supply to the board's power input terminal (DC 5-24V).
• It is recommended to use a 12V/24V standard power adapter with a current output of 1A or more for optimal performance.
• Ensure the power supply voltage is greater than 9V for a better output effect.

5.3 Audio Output Connection

• Connect the 3.5mm AUX OUT interface of the board to an active power amplifier using an AUX cable.
• Alternatively, you can directly connect 16Ω or 32Ω headphones to the AUX OUT. Note that the signal output power is very small and cannot directly drive speakers without an amplifier.

5.4 Audio Input Selection

• The board supports both Bluetooth and AUX inputs.
• If an AUX cable is plugged into the AUX IN port, the board will automatically switch to AUX input mode.
• If no AUX cable is connected, the board will default to Bluetooth mode.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Controls

• Power On/Off: Long press the central VOLUME knob.
• Play/Pause: Short press the central VOLUME knob.
• Volume Adjustment: Rotate the central VOLUME knob.
• Treble Adjustment: Rotate the TREBLE knob. Turn right to increase, left to decrease.
• Bass Adjustment: Rotate the BASS knob. Turn right to increase, left to decrease.

6.2 Bluetooth Connection

1. Ensure the Bluetooth board is powered on. The blue LED indicator will flash quickly, indicating it's in Bluetooth pairing mode.
2. On your mobile phone or Bluetooth-enabled device, search for Bluetooth devices.
3. Locate and select "Xinyi" from the list of available devices to complete the connection.
4. Once connected, the blue LED will enter a long light state, then flash slowly during audio playback.

Important Note:

Do NOT connect to "SiniLink-APP" directly from your phone's Bluetooth settings. If you accidentally connect this way, please unpair the device and search again. The SiniLink APP connection is handled separately within the application itself.

1. Download and install the SiniLink APP on your Android or iOS device.
2. Before using the APP, ensure that all necessary APP permissions (including location information) are enabled in your phone's settings. Failure to do so may cause compatibility issues and prevent Bluetooth connection.
3. Open the SiniLink APP.
4. Follow the in-app instructions, typically by clicking a small yellow dot or similar prompt, to connect to the Bluetooth device.
5. Once connected via the APP, you can control various functions such as volume, sound effects, track selection (up/down song), and play/pause.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Signal Problems (Bluetooth)

If you experience difficulty finding Bluetooth devices or maintaining a connection, consider the following:

• Distance from Router: Keep the XY-BDT board away from Wi-Fi routers, as they can interfere with Bluetooth signals.
• Metal Surfaces: Avoid placing the board on a metal table or inside a metal enclosure, as metal can shield the PCB antenna and significantly reduce signal strength.
• Antenna Placement: If the board is installed within a metal casing (e.g., a speaker with a metal shell), ensure the Bluetooth antenna is routed outside the metal enclosure to prevent signal blockage.

• Optimal Power Supply: For the best audio output effect, it is recommended to use a power supply voltage greater than 9V.
• Volume Control at Low Voltage: If using a 5V power supply, be mindful of the volume level. Setting the volume too high may introduce distortion.
• APP Permissions: Always ensure location services and all other necessary permissions are granted to the SiniLink APP on your mobile device for proper functionality.

9. Maintenance

• Keep the device dry and away from moisture.
• Clean the surface gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Avoid exposing the board to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
• Ensure proper ventilation if enclosed in a case to prevent overheating.
