2. Safety Precautions

WARNING: Electrical installation should only be performed by qualified personnel. Always disconnect power before installation or maintenance.

  • Ensure the rated voltage of both the main and backup power supplies is within 85%-110% of the rated value.
  • The operating current must not be less than 5A. Failure to meet these requirements may cause the coil to overheat or spontaneously combust.
  • If your local grid voltage is unstable, it is strongly recommended to install additional voltage protectors in the system.
  • For stable and reliable switching when connecting a PV inverter, ensure it is a Pure Sine Wave type with a rated power greater than 3000W.

Figure 3: Product Wiring Diagram for 2-pole and 4-pole configurations.

For 2-Pole Configuration (Top Left Diagram):

  • Connect the Common Power Supply (L, N) to the designated terminals.
  • Connect the Standby Power Supply to its respective terminals.
  • Connect the Backup Control Line.
  • Connect the Load Output to your electrical loads.

For 4-Pole Configuration (Top Right Diagram):

  • Connect the Common Power Supply (L1, L2, L3, N) to the designated terminals.
  • Connect the Backup Power to its respective terminals.
  • Connect the Alternate Control Line.
  • Connect the Load Output to your electrical loads.

General Wiring Notes:

  • Ensure proper phase sequence for multi-phase systems.
  • All connections must be tight to prevent loose contacts and overheating.

3.3 Connecting External Indicators

The ATS provides passive terminals (NO, C, NC) for connecting external indicators, allowing you to monitor the product's operation from outside the cabinet.

Figure 6: Automatic Transfer Switch Function Diagram.

The transfer time is less than 50 milliseconds, ensuring minimal disruption to connected loads.

4.3 Voltage Monitoring and LED Indicators

The device continuously monitors the voltage of the connected power sources and provides visual feedback through LED indicators.

ConditionLED StatusAction
Normal VoltageTwo LEDs stay on constantly. No action required.
Abnormal Voltage (General)Lights are flickering. LED displays a breathing effect (dims gradually during undervoltage, brightens gradually during overvoltage).Switches to standby power after a 10-second delay (default setting).
Overvoltage StatusLED flashes twice every 2 seconds.Automatic transfer to standby power if configured.
Undervoltage StatusLED flashes once every 2 seconds.Automatic transfer to standby power if configured.

Voltage Protection Parameters (for 220V W2R):

  • Undervoltage Trip Value: 175V
  • Undervoltage Recovery Value: 190V
  • Overvoltage Trip Value: 270V
  • Overvoltage Recovery Value: 250V
  • Delay for Trip: 10 seconds
  • Delay for Reset: 30 seconds

5. Maintenance

The GEYA W2R ATS is designed for minimal maintenance. However, regular checks are recommended to ensure optimal performance and safety.

  • Visual Inspection: Periodically inspect the unit for any signs of physical damage, loose connections, or discoloration.
  • Terminal Tightness: Ensure all wiring terminals remain tight. Loose connections can lead to overheating and potential hazards.
  • Dust and Debris: Keep the unit free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners.
  • Functionality Test: Periodically test the automatic transfer function by simulating a main power failure (if safely possible and recommended by a qualified electrician).
  • Professional Inspection: It is advisable to have a qualified electrician inspect the unit and its connections annually.

6. Troubleshooting

This section provides guidance on common issues you might encounter with your GEYA W2R ATS.

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
