1. Product Overview
The GEYA W2R Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) is designed to automatically switch between a main power source and a backup power source, ensuring an uninterrupted power supply for various applications. It supports both automatic and manual operation modes and includes real-time voltage monitoring and protection features.
Key features include:
- Quick switching time: Less than 50 milliseconds.
- Voltage compatibility: Supports 110V or 220V systems.
- PC Level performance.
- Integrated Overvoltage Protection.
- Integrated Undervoltage Protection.
- High current capacity: Up to 100A.

2. Safety Precautions
WARNING: Electrical installation should only be performed by qualified personnel. Always disconnect power before installation or maintenance.
- Ensure the rated voltage of both the main and backup power supplies is within 85%-110% of the rated value.
- The operating current must not be less than 5A. Failure to meet these requirements may cause the coil to overheat or spontaneously combust.
- If your local grid voltage is unstable, it is strongly recommended to install additional voltage protectors in the system.
- For stable and reliable switching when connecting a PV inverter, ensure it is a Pure Sine Wave type with a rated power greater than 3000W.
3. Installation and Wiring
3.1 Components Overview

The GEYA W2R ATS features robust copper terminals for secure connections, silver contacts for reliable switching, and is designed for easy guide rail installation.
3.2 Wiring Diagram
The following diagrams illustrate typical wiring configurations for the GEYA W2R ATS. Ensure all connections are secure and comply with local electrical codes.

For 2-Pole Configuration (Top Left Diagram):
- Connect the Common Power Supply (L, N) to the designated terminals.
- Connect the Standby Power Supply to its respective terminals.
- Connect the Backup Control Line.
- Connect the Load Output to your electrical loads.
For 4-Pole Configuration (Top Right Diagram):
- Connect the Common Power Supply (L1, L2, L3, N) to the designated terminals.
- Connect the Backup Power to its respective terminals.
- Connect the Alternate Control Line.
- Connect the Load Output to your electrical loads.
General Wiring Notes:
- Ensure proper phase sequence for multi-phase systems.
- All connections must be tight to prevent loose contacts and overheating.
3.3 Connecting External Indicators
The ATS provides passive terminals (NO, C, NC) for connecting external indicators, allowing you to monitor the product's operation from outside the cabinet.

Connect your common closing/opening indicators and backup closing/opening indicators to the NO, C, NC terminals as shown in Figure 4. These are passive terminals and do not supply voltage.
4. Operation
4.1 Automatic and Manual Modes
The GEYA W2R ATS supports both automatic and manual operation. Use the selection switch on the unit to choose your desired mode.

- Automatic Mode: The switch will automatically transfer power sources based on voltage conditions.
- Manual Mode: Allows for manual switching using the handle. This mode is typically used for testing or specific maintenance scenarios.
4.2 Power Transfer Function
The ATS is designed to seamlessly switch between power sources in case of a mains failure or restoration.

The transfer time is less than 50 milliseconds, ensuring minimal disruption to connected loads.
4.3 Voltage Monitoring and LED Indicators
The device continuously monitors the voltage of the connected power sources and provides visual feedback through LED indicators.
| Condition | LED Status | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Normal Voltage | Two LEDs stay on constantly. | No action required. |
| Abnormal Voltage (General) | Lights are flickering. LED displays a breathing effect (dims gradually during undervoltage, brightens gradually during overvoltage). | Switches to standby power after a 10-second delay (default setting). |
| Overvoltage Status | LED flashes twice every 2 seconds. | Automatic transfer to standby power if configured. |
| Undervoltage Status | LED flashes once every 2 seconds. | Automatic transfer to standby power if configured. |
Voltage Protection Parameters (for 220V W2R):
- Undervoltage Trip Value: 175V
- Undervoltage Recovery Value: 190V
- Overvoltage Trip Value: 270V
- Overvoltage Recovery Value: 250V
- Delay for Trip: 10 seconds
- Delay for Reset: 30 seconds
5. Maintenance
The GEYA W2R ATS is designed for minimal maintenance. However, regular checks are recommended to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Visual Inspection: Periodically inspect the unit for any signs of physical damage, loose connections, or discoloration.
- Terminal Tightness: Ensure all wiring terminals remain tight. Loose connections can lead to overheating and potential hazards.
- Dust and Debris: Keep the unit free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Functionality Test: Periodically test the automatic transfer function by simulating a main power failure (if safely possible and recommended by a qualified electrician).
- Professional Inspection: It is advisable to have a qualified electrician inspect the unit and its connections annually.
