Setup

1. Charging the Headphones

Before first use, fully charge your headphones. Connect the provided Type-C 2-in-1 cable to the charging port on the headphones and a USB power source (5V == 1A). The charging time is approximately 2.5 hours.

2. Powering On/Off

• Power On: Long press the Power button for 2 seconds.
• Power Off: Long press the Power button for 2 seconds.

3. Bluetooth Pairing

1. Ensure the headphones are powered off.
2. Hold down the Power button for 5 seconds to enter pairing mode. The indicator light will flash, indicating it's ready to pair.
3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, computer), enable Bluetooth and search for "HAYLOU S40" in the list of available devices.
4. Select "HAYLOU S40" to connect. Once connected, the indicator light will stop flashing.

4. Wired Connection (3.5mm Jack)

The HAYLOU S40 supports wired audio connection. Connect the 3.5mm jack end of the Type-C 2-in-1 cable to the headphone's audio port and the other end to your audio source. This allows for lossless audio transmission.

5. Detachable Microphone Setup

Operating Instructions

1. Button Controls

• Volume Up (+): Click to increase volume. Press and hold for Next Track.
• Volume Down (-): Click to decrease volume. Press and hold for Previous Track.
• Power Button: Long press for 2 seconds to Power On/Off. Hold down for 5 seconds (when device is power off) to enter Pairing Mode.

2. Touch Control Area

• Quick Conversation Mode: Press and hold to turn on/release to turn off (disables during calls).
• Answer/Hang Up Call: Double click.
• Reject a Call: Press and hold for 1 second.
• Play/Pause Music: Double click.

3. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) Modes

The HAYLOU S40 offers multiple ANC modes to adapt to your environment:

• LDAC/Spatial Audio Issues: LDAC requires the HAYLOU Sound App. Spatial Audio and LDAC cannot be enabled simultaneously.
• Dual-Device Connection Issues: Dual-device connection is currently unavailable on HarmonyOS devices due to compatibility issues.

• For optimal sound quality and to utilize features like LDAC and Spatial Audio, download and use the official HAYLOU Sound App.
• Remember that Spatial Audio and LDAC cannot be active at the same time. Choose the feature that best suits your current listening preference.
