Charging the tail light with a Type-C cable. Approximate charging time is 3 hours.
  • The lights are slightly on when charging, and off when fully charged.
  • If the lights are slightly on when low-powered and make a "biu" sound, it is recommended to use a power bank to charge directly or remove the taillights to charge.
  • Ensure the charging port plug is fully inserted for proper charging and to maintain waterproof performance.
  • If the power is low, the brightness of the light will be reduced by half. When using the remote control, there will be a "biu" sound or the remote control distance will be shortened. If the voltage is low, it needs to be charged.

7. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your tail light, follow these maintenance guidelines.

7.1 Waterproofing (IPX5)

The ROCKBROS A8Pro is IPX5 waterproof, meaning it can withstand splashes and light rain. This ensures it can still work stably in humid environments, allowing you to ride with peace of mind on rainy days without worrying about damage due to water.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your ROCKBROS A8Pro, refer to the common problems and solutions below.

Product Q&A section with common questions and answers regarding the tail light's functionality.
Common questions and answers for troubleshooting.
Q: Why is the taillight alarm not sensitive?
A: Please do not move the bicycle immediately in the arming state. Wait for another 5 seconds and listen for the "di" sound before the alarm state fully activates.
Q: Why can't the remote control control the taillight all of a sudden?
A: This could be due to low power in the remote control or the taillight, or interference. Ensure both devices have sufficient power. If the issue persists, try replacing the remote control battery or re-pairing the remote control.
Q: Why can't the taillights be charged or the charging is slow?
A: It is recommended to use the original 2A charging cable. Check that the charging interface is inserted correctly. If the taillight is slightly on, it indicates that it has been powered on.
Q: When is it time to charge? When does it indicate not enough power? How is it signaled?
A: When you press the remote control, if "biu biu" appears after the normal tone, it means that the voltage is low, the battery is low, and it needs to be charged. In addition, the remote control distance becomes shorter, the light becomes weaker, and the remote control seems to be not sensitive enough. It is a precursor to insufficient power, that is, it needs to be charged.
Q: If the remote control is lost, how to remove the docking with the host and match the new remote control?
A: If the remote control is lost, to prevent thieves from stealing the bike in the absence of arming, you can press and hold the host button for 7s without letting go. If you hear a long "di" sound, the lost remote control will not be able to control the host. After purchasing a new remote control, press and hold the host button for 3s, hear a short "di" and then press any button of the remote control, prompting "di di" twice to indicate that the docking is successful.
Q: I lost my remote control, the customer service reassigned a remote control.
A: A host can be equipped with three remote controls. Please contact our customer service staff. Newly purchased products need to be fully charged before use. The factory battery power is in a low voltage state.

8.1 Warnings and Precautions

  • Regularly check the battery level of both the taillight and the remote control to avoid unexpected power loss during rides.
  • Always ensure the Type-C charging port's silicone cover is securely closed when not charging to maintain the IPX5 waterproof rating.
  • If you need to replace a lost remote control, follow the re-pairing instructions carefully to ensure proper functionality with your tail light.
