1. Introduction

This user manual provides instructions for the safe and effective operation and maintenance of your KUAIQU Soldering Station, models KUAIQU-203A and KUAIQU-203D. These soldering stations are designed for precision soldering tasks, offering adjustable constant temperature control and high power output for various electronic repair and welding applications.

2. Safety Precautions

  • Always work in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling solder fumes.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses.
  • Ensure the soldering station is placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
  • Do not touch the soldering iron tip or heating element when hot.
  • Always turn off and unplug the unit when not in use or before performing maintenance.

4. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Placement: Place the soldering station unit and the soldering iron holder on a stable, heat-resistant, and well-ventilated workbench.
  3. Connect Soldering Iron: Insert the soldering iron's airline jack into the corresponding port on the main unit. Ensure it is fully inserted for proper contact.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the soldering station and then to a suitable power outlet (AC110V or AC220V, 50HZ/60HZ, depending on your model and region).
  5. Prepare Cleaning Sponge: Wet the cleaning sponge in the soldering iron holder with water. Squeeze out excess water so it is damp, not soaking wet.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

  • Flip the Switch on the front panel to turn the unit ON or OFF.
  • For KUAIQU-203D, the digital display will light up. For KUAIQU-203A, an indicator light will show the power status.

5.2 Temperature Adjustment

  • KUAIQU-203A (Knob Control): Rotate the Temperature Knob to adjust the desired temperature. The temperature range is 200°C to 480°C (392°F to 896°F).
  • KUAIQU-203D (Button Control): Use the Increase (right arrow) and Decrease (left arrow) buttons to adjust the temperature value. Press the OK (star) button to confirm and save the data. The temperature range is 90°C to 480°C (194°F to 896°F).

5.3 Hibernation Settings (KUAIQU-203D only)

  • To enter hibernation: Press the Decrease (left arrow) and Increase (right arrow) keys simultaneously. The unit will enter the hibernation setting state.
  • To turn off hibernation: Press the same keys simultaneously again.
  • Press the OK (star) button to save the setting.

5.4 Calibration Settings (KUAIQU-203D only)

  • To start calibration: Press the Decrease (left arrow) and OK (star) buttons simultaneously.
  • To cycle through calibration values: Press the Decrease (left arrow) or Increase (right arrow) buttons (range -60 to +60).
  • To save value and display current temperature: Press the OK (star) button.

5.5 Soldering Application Showcase

6. Maintenance

  • Tip Cleaning: Regularly clean the soldering iron tip using the damp cleaning sponge provided in the holder. Wipe gently; avoid excessive force which can damage the tip.
  • Heating Core Replacement: The ceramic heating core is pluggable and designed for easy two-step replacement. Refer to the specific instructions for heating core replacement if needed. Ensure the unit is powered off and cooled down before attempting replacement.
  • General Cleaning: Keep the soldering station and iron free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

7. Troubleshooting
