1. Introduction

The Tuya Smart WiFi Garage Door Opener Module (Model GDS16) allows you to remotely control your garage door using a smartphone app, voice commands, and set schedules. It integrates seamlessly with popular smart home platforms like Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Yandex Alice, providing enhanced convenience and security for your home.

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your WiFi Garage Door Opener Module.

3. Setup

3.1 Wiring Diagram

Follow the wiring diagram carefully to connect the module to your garage door opener and power supply. Ensure all connections are secure before powering on the device.

3.2 Installation Steps

  1. Mount the Module: Choose a suitable location near your garage door opener and power outlet. Use the provided mounting bracket, screws, and wall plugs to secure the module.
  2. Connect to Opener: Connect the signal cable from the module (S1, S2 terminals) to your garage door opener's power head. Refer to your garage door opener's manual for specific signal input terminals.
  3. Connect Power: Connect the AC power (L, N terminals) to a 100-240V AC power source.
  4. Install Door Sensor: Mount the two parts of the door sensor on your garage door and door frame, ensuring they are aligned and close enough to detect door status (open/closed). Connect the sensor cable (S3, S4 terminals) to the module.
  5. Power On: Once all connections are made, power on the module.
