Setup

  1. Unfolding the Gimbal

    Gently unfold the gimbal from its compact, folded state. Ensure all joints click into place securely.

  2. Mounting Your Smartphone

    Extend the phone clamp and carefully place your smartphone into it. Ensure the phone is centered and securely held. The gimbal supports mobile devices up to 90mm in max size.

  3. Balancing the Gimbal

    While the Smart X Pro features powerful 3-axis brushless motors for stabilization, initial balancing is crucial. Adjust the phone's position in the clamp until it remains level when the gimbal is powered off. This reduces motor strain and improves battery life.

  4. Powering On/Off

    Press and hold the power button located on the handle to turn the gimbal on or off. The OLED display will show the current mode and battery level.

  5. App Connection (Bluetooth)

    Download the "AOCHUAN" app from your smartphone's app store. Enable Bluetooth on your phone and connect to the Smart X Pro gimbal. The app unlocks advanced features and shooting modes.

  6. Attaching Magnetic RGB Fill Light

    The included magnetic RGB fill light (P03) can be easily attached to the gimbal. It offers 7 color options and 3 brightness levels. Simply snap it onto the designated magnetic area.

Operating Instructions

  1. Basic Controls

    • Power Button: Press and hold to power on/off. Single press to check battery level.
    • Joystick: Control pan and tilt movements of the smartphone.
    • Trigger Button: (If present) Typically used for quick mode switching or recentering.
    • Mode Button: Cycle through different gimbal modes.

  2. Gimbal Modes (Displayed on OLED Screen)

    • PF (Pan Follow Mode): The camera pans left/right following your hand movements, while tilt and roll axes are locked.
    • L (Full Lock Mode): All three axes are locked, keeping the camera pointing in a fixed direction.
    • POV (POV Mode): The camera follows all your hand movements (pan, tilt, roll), providing a first-person perspective.
    • F (Full Follow Mode): The camera follows both pan and tilt movements, while the roll axis is locked.
    • DM (Inception Mode): Allows for a spinning camera effect.

  3. Gesture Controls

    The Smart X Pro supports various hand gestures for convenient control:

    The magnetic RGB fill light can be adjusted for 7 different colors and 3 brightness levels to suit your shooting environment. The integrated LED fill light also has 3 adjustable brightness levels, providing up to 6000 lux and 5500K CCT for low-light conditions.

  6. Landscape/Portrait Switching

    Effortlessly switch between horizontal (landscape) and vertical (portrait) shooting orientations using the dedicated button or the two-hand thumbs-up gesture.

  7. Focus and Zoom Control

    Utilize the control wheel for masterful focus adjustments and the zoom slider (W/T) for smooth transitions from wide-angle to telephoto close-ups.

Maintenance

  • Battery Charging

    The gimbal is equipped with a 3200mAh replaceable battery. Use the provided USB-C charging cable to charge the gimbal. A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours. The OLED display indicates battery status.

    The gimbal also features a wireless charging clip for compatible mobile devices, ensuring uninterrupted shooting.

  • Cleaning

    Wipe the gimbal with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the surface.

  • Storage

    When not in use, fold the gimbal into its compact form and store it in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.

Troubleshooting

Q: The gimbal is not powering on.
A: Ensure the battery is fully charged. Press and hold the power button for a few seconds to turn it on.
Q: My smartphone is not connecting to the app via Bluetooth.
A: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the gimbal is powered on. Restart both the app and the gimbal, then try connecting again. Ensure the AOCHUAN app has necessary permissions.
Q: The gimbal is not stable or vibrating.
