Maintenance
Cleaning the Boiling Chamber
Regular cleaning of the boiling chamber is crucial to prevent mineral buildup and maintain efficiency. The frequency depends on the hardness of your tap water.

Figure 9: Cleaning Agent and Accessories
- Ensure the distiller is unplugged and completely cooled down.
- Fill the stainless steel tank with hot water until it is slightly higher than the stained surface.
- Pour in one to four tablespoons of the provided cleaning agent (or a suitable descaling solution like citric acid), depending on the amount of stain.
- Close the tank with the lid, but do not cover the fan plug.
- Plug in the main power cord and press the start button. The stainless steel tank will begin to heat.
- After 20-30 minutes, pour out the water and rinse the inner tank thoroughly with clean water.
- If stains persist, repeat the procedure.
- The residual cleaning agent is harmless to health, ensuring safe use.
Activated Carbon Filter Replacement
The activated carbon sachets should be replaced regularly, typically every 2-3 months or after 30-40 gallons of distilled water, to ensure optimal water quality.
- Ensure the distiller is unplugged and cooled.
- Remove the discharge cap from the water collection bottle.
- Open the activated carbon filter housing and remove the old sachet.
- Insert a new activated charcoal sachet into the filter housing.
- Close the filter housing and reattach the discharge cap to the water collection bottle.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Distiller does not turn on. | No power supply. | Check if the power cord is securely plugged into the distiller and the wall outlet. Ensure the outlet is functional. |
| Distiller stops prematurely. | Overheat protection activated. | This is normal. The unit automatically shuts off when the temperature exceeds 320℉ (160℃). Allow it to cool down before restarting. |
| Water has an unusual taste or odor. | Activated carbon filter needs replacement or initial use. | Replace the activated carbon sachet. For first use, it's recommended to discard the first batch of distilled water. |
| Slow distillation rate. | Mineral buildup in the boiling chamber. | Clean the boiling chamber as per the maintenance instructions. |
| Water leakage. | Improper assembly of the water outlet tube or collection bottle. | Ensure all connections, especially the water outlet soft catheter and collection bottle, are properly seated and sealed. |
