5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Batteries

Before first use, fully charge both the drone battery and the remote control battery.

  • Drone Battery: Connect the drone battery (11.4V 9800mAh) to the provided USB charging cable. Connect the cable to a suitable USB power adapter (not included). Charging time is approximately 6 hours.
  • Remote Control Battery: The remote control has a built-in 7.4V 4600mAh battery. Connect the remote control to a USB power source using its charging port. Charging time is approximately 3.5 hours.

5.2 Propeller Installation

Carefully install the propellers according to the markings on the drone arms and propellers. Ensure they are securely fastened using the provided screwdriver. Incorrect installation can affect flight stability and safety.

5.3 Expanding the Drone

The KF100/KF100 MAX features a foldable design for portability. Gently unfold the drone arms until they lock into place. Refer to Figure 4 for expanded dimensions.

5.4 SD Card Installation (Optional)

For higher resolution photo and video recording, insert a compatible SD card (32G-128G, not included) into the drone's designated slot. Ensure the card is inserted correctly before powering on the drone.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Remote Control Overview

The remote control features a 5.5-inch built-in screen running an Android system, eliminating the need for a separate mobile phone. It supports multimedia functions and can connect to WiFi.

6.2 Pre-Flight Checks

  • Ensure drone and remote control batteries are fully charged.
  • Verify propellers are correctly and securely installed.
  • Check for any physical damage to the drone or propellers.
  • Ensure you are in an open area, clear of obstacles and people.
  • Power on the drone, then the remote control. Wait for GPS signal acquisition.
