Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the camera body and screens. For the lens, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth and solution.
- Waterproof Case: After each use in water, rinse the waterproof case with fresh water and allow it to air dry completely before storing. Regularly check the rubber seal for any damage or debris.
- Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Avoid fully discharging batteries for extended periods. If not using the camera for a long time, charge batteries to about 50% before storage.
- Storage: Store the camera and accessories in a dry, dust-free environment away from extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
- Camera not turning on: Ensure batteries are fully charged and correctly inserted. Try using a different charged battery.
- Camera freezing/unresponsive: Remove and reinsert the battery to perform a hard reset. If the issue persists, try updating the firmware (if available from the manufacturer's website).
- Poor video quality: Check that the lens is clean and free from smudges. Ensure you are recording in 4K resolution and that EIS is enabled for stable footage. Verify lighting conditions are adequate.
- Memory card error: Ensure the memory card is correctly inserted and not full. Try formatting the card (this will erase all data) or use a different compatible MicroSD/TF card.
- Wi-Fi connection issues: Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on the camera and your smartphone. Check that you are within range of the camera's Wi-Fi signal. Restart both devices.
- Water leakage in waterproof case: Immediately remove the camera from the case. Inspect the case for cracks or damage and ensure the rubber seal is clean and properly seated. Do not use the damaged case.
User Tips
- Test Before Use: Always perform a quick test recording and photo capture before engaging in important activities to ensure the camera is functioning correctly.
- Battery Management: Carry spare charged batteries, especially for long shooting sessions, as 4K recording consumes power quickly.
- Memory Card: Use a high-speed (U3 or V30 rated) MicroSD card for optimal 4K video recording performance.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the Svbony official website for any available firmware updates to improve camera performance and add new features.
- Experiment with Modes: Don't hesitate to experiment with different shooting modes like time-lapse or slow motion to add variety and creativity to your footage.
