6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning

  • Wipe the device body with a soft, dry cloth.
  • For the lens, use a lens cleaning cloth and specialized lens cleaning solution. Do not use abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.

6.2. Storage

  • Store the device in its provided carrying bag when not in use to protect it from dust and physical damage.
  • Keep the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • If storing for extended periods, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Device does not power on.Low battery.Charge the device using the USB Type-C cable.
Thermal image is unclear or inaccurate.Incorrect emissivity setting; dirty lens; object too far/close.Adjust emissivity based on material; clean the lens; ensure object is within 0.3m-3m measurement range.
Laser pointer not working. Not long-pressing the Photo/Trigger Key.Long press the Photo/Trigger Key to activate the laser.
Cannot save images.Memory card full or corrupted.Transfer images to a computer and delete unnecessary files from the device.
Device freezes or becomes unresponsive.Software glitch.Perform a soft reset by holding the power button for an extended period (e.g., 10-15 seconds) until it restarts. If problem persists, contact support.

For issues related to underfloor heating detection, note that thermal imaging cannot directly detect leaks in ambient temperature water pipes due to minimal thermal contrast and ambient masking. For subsurface pipe detection, pipes must be heated and pressurized (e.g., heated in-floor heating systems). Leak indicators include amorphous heat signatures and temperature differentials where leak points appear bright white (higher temperature) relative to surroundings.
