4. Setup Instructions

4.1. Mounting the Dash Cam

The XIMA T322 offers flexible mounting options for optimal viewing and recording angles.

  • Attach the dash cam unit to the long bracket or rotary expansion base.
  • Secure the bracket to your car's dashboard or windshield using the provided adhesive or suction cup mount.
  • Adjust the screen and camera angles (front camera is 360° rotatable) to ensure a clear view of the road and cabin.

4.2. Power Connection

Connect the provided power cord to the dash cam and plug it into your car's cigarette lighter socket. The device is designed to power on and off with your vehicle's ignition.

4.3. Memory Card Installation and Formatting

The DVR requires a high-quality U3 grade C10 high-speed brand memory card for optimal 4K recording performance. Inexpensive or ordinary memory cards may not function properly.

  1. Insert the memory card into the designated slot on the DVR.
  2. **Important:** For first-time use, you must format the memory card directly on the DVR.
  3. To format, enter the DVR menu, locate the 'Format' option, and confirm.

Note: Formatting the memory card on a computer is an incorrect operation and may lead to improper functionality. Always format within the DVR's menu.

4.4. Rearview Camera Connection (Optional)

If your kit includes a rearview camera and you wish to use the reversing assist function:

  • Connect the rearview camera to the DVR using the camera extension cord.
  • Connect the red signal wire of the rearview camera to your car's reversing light circuit. This will activate the reversing assist display when the car is put into reverse.

If you do not require the reversing assist function, you can leave the red signal wire disconnected.

4.5. GPS Module Installation (Optional)

If your device includes a GPS module:

  1. Connect the GPS module to the DVR.
  2. Enable the GPS function in the DVR's menu settings.
  3. Install the DVR in your car and start recording. Drive outdoors for a short distance to allow the GPS module to acquire satellite signals and record driving tracks.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Wireless Carplay and Android Auto

The XIMA T322 supports wireless Carplay for iPhones and Android Auto for Android phones, enabling seamless integration with your smartphone for navigation, music, and calls.

  • For iPhone (Carplay): Select 'Carplay' as the connection method on the DVR. Ensure Carplay software is installed on your iPhone. The devices should connect automatically.
  • For Android Phone (Android Auto): Select 'Android Auto' as the connection method on the DVR. Download and install the Android Auto app from the Google Play Market on your phone. The devices should then connect.

5.2. Voice Control and GPS Navigation

Utilize voice commands for a safer driving experience. The system supports Siri and Google Assistant.

  • Activate your phone's voice assistant (Siri or Google Assistant) through the dash cam.
  • Use commands like "Hey Siri, call [contact name]" or "Hey Google, go home" for navigation and other functions.

5.3. Brightness Adjustment

The display brightness can be adjusted for optimal visibility during both day and night driving conditions.

  • Access the display settings in the DVR menu.
  • Adjust the brightness level as needed.

5.4. WIFI Connection (Viidure App)

Connect your smartphone to the DVR via Wi-Fi using the "Viidure" app for remote control and file management.

  1. Download and install the "Viidure" app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Market.
  2. On the DVR, enter the Wi-Fi setting menu from standby mode. Note the Wi-Fi SSID name and password displayed.
  3. Open the "Viidure" app on your phone, enter configuration mode, and turn on your phone's Wi-Fi function.
  4. Search for the DVR's SSID Wi-Fi signal and enter the password to connect.
  5. Once connected, you can operate the DVR through the "Viidure" app.

5.5. Dual Recording and Video Playback

The dash cam supports dual recording (front and rear/cabin) and allows for easy video playback.

  • The front camera records in 4K UHD (3840x2160P).
  • The rear camera records in AHD 1080P.
  • Access recorded videos through the DVR's menu or via the "Viidure" app.

7.3. Wireless Carplay/Android Auto Connection Problems

  • Ensure the correct connection method (Carplay/Android Auto) is selected on the DVR.

  • GPS Functionality: While the device has GPS capabilities, specific map availability (e.g., for Israel or Brazil) may depend on the Carplay/Android Auto integration with your phone's navigation apps.
  • 24-Hour Parking Monitoring: For continuous parking monitoring, consider purchasing a separate Buck Line accessory. Professional installation is recommended for connecting the Buck Line to your car's battery or ACC.
