4. Setup Guide
4.1 Powering On the Device
- Connect the provided USB cable to the Type-C power supply port on the back of the camera (refer to Figure 4).
- Plug the other end of the USB cable into the power adapter.
- Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The camera will power on automatically.
4.2 App Installation and Account Creation
- Download the "IM CAM" app from your smartphone's app store (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS).
- Open the IM CAM app and follow the on-screen instructions to create a new user account or log in if you already have one.
4.3 Adding the Camera to the App
- Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. (Note: 5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported).
- In the IM CAM app, tap the "+" icon or "Add Device" to begin the pairing process.
- Select the type of device (e.g., Smart Camera or Baby Monitor).
- Follow the app's instructions to connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network. This usually involves scanning a QR code displayed on the camera's screen or entering your Wi-Fi credentials into the app.
- Once connected, the camera will appear in your device list within the app.
4.4 Inserting an SD Card (Optional)
To enable local video recording, you can insert a Micro SD card (up to 128GB, not included) into the designated slot on the back of the camera (refer to Figure 4). Ensure the camera is powered off before inserting or removing the SD card.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Remote Viewing
Open the IM CAM app on your smartphone. Select your camera from the device list to view the live feed. You can monitor your home from anywhere with an internet connection.
5.2 Two-Way Video/Voice Calls
The camera supports three modes of communication:
- Remote Viewing (One-way): View the live feed from your phone.
- Voice Call (Two-way intercom): Initiate a voice call from your phone to the camera, or vice-versa using the camera's call buttons.
- Video Call (Two-way viewing): Initiate a video call from your phone to the camera, or vice-versa using the camera's call buttons.

5.2.1 Initiating a Call from the Camera
The camera features two physical call buttons (refer to Figure 3). Pressing one of these buttons will initiate a video call to a pre-configured contact (e.g., a parent's smartphone). Pressing the other button will hang up the call.

5.3 Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) Control
From the IM CAM app, you can remotely control the camera's movement:
- **Pan:** Rotate the camera horizontally up to 350 degrees.
- **Tilt:** Adjust the camera vertically up to 60 degrees.
- The 120° wide-view lens and PTZ capabilities allow for a comprehensive 360° monitoring area.

5.4 Night Vision
The camera automatically activates infrared night vision in low-light conditions, providing clear black and white video up to 8 meters. In ultra-microlight environments, it can also produce high-definition color pictures.

5.5 Intelligent Detection and Alarms
- Humanoid Detection: The camera can distinguish human shapes and send alerts to your phone when detected.
- Cry Detection Alarm: When the camera detects abnormal sounds such as a baby crying, it will push a notification to your mobile app, alerting you to potential issues.

5.6 Video Recording and Playback
The camera supports recording video to a Micro SD card (up to 128GB) or to cloud storage (subscription may be required). You can access recorded footage through the IM CAM app for playback.

5.7 Multi-User Sharing
You can share access to your camera with family members. In the IM CAM app, generate a share link or invite family members to view the live feed and receive alerts. Up to 30 mobile phones can be connected.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Camera
- Ensure the camera is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the camera body.
- For the lens, use a lens cleaning cloth and specialized lens cleaning solution to avoid scratches.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
6.2 Software Updates
The camera's firmware may receive updates to improve performance and add new features. Check the IM CAM app regularly for available updates and follow the in-app instructions to install them. Ensure the camera has a stable power supply and internet connection during updates.
6.3 SD Card Management
If using an SD card, periodically check its storage status via the app. Format the SD card through the app settings if you encounter recording issues or wish to clear old footage. Back up important recordings before formatting.

7.1 Resetting the Camera
If you encounter persistent issues, you can reset the camera to its factory settings. Locate the Reset button on the back of the camera (refer to Figure 4). Use a pin or a small tool to press and hold the button for approximately 5-10 seconds until you hear a prompt or see an indicator light change. After resetting, you will need to re-pair the camera with the IM CAM app.
