- Pythagorean Measurement: Select the Pythagorean mode. The device will guide you to take measurements for calculating indirect distances (e.g., height of a building).
- Angle and Height Measurement: This function allows for measuring angles and calculating heights based on angle and distance.
- Add and Subtract Measurement: After taking a measurement, use the '+' or '-' buttons to add or subtract subsequent measurements.

5.2 Tape Measure Usage
The integrated 2-meter tape measure is made of 65 manganese steel for durability and clear readability.
- Gently pull the tape measure from the bottom of the device to extend it.
- Take your measurement.
- Press the release button (usually on the side) to retract the tape measure slowly and safely.

5.3 Voice Prompt
The device features a voice broadcast function (Chinese or English) to announce measurements. Use the 'Voice switch' button (indicated by a microphone icon) to toggle this feature on or off.
5.4 Data Storage
The device can store up to 100 units of measurement data. Use the memory button (often labeled with a document icon) to access and review stored measurements.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Keep the laser lens clean and free of dust.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: Recharge the battery regularly, even if not in use, to maintain its lifespan. Avoid fully discharging the battery for extended periods.
- Avoid Impact: Protect the device from drops and impacts, which can affect its accuracy and functionality.
7. Troubleshooting
- Device not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. If the battery is low, connect the device to a charger.
- Inaccurate laser measurements: Check if the laser lens is clean. Ensure the target surface is suitable for laser reflection (avoid highly reflective or transparent surfaces). Perform self-calibration if available.
- Tape measure not retracting: Check for any obstructions. Ensure the tape is not bent or damaged.
- Voice prompt not working: Check if the voice prompt feature is enabled using the 'Voice switch' button. Ensure volume is not muted if applicable.

9. User Tips
- Maximize Accuracy: For laser measurements, ensure the device is stable. Using a tripod with the 1/4 inch threaded interface can significantly improve accuracy, especially for longer distances or complex calculations.
- Utilize Voice Prompts: The voice prompt feature can be very helpful in noisy environments or when you need to keep your eyes on the measurement target.
- Data Storage for Projects: Take advantage of the 100-unit data storage for tracking multiple measurements in a project, reducing the need for manual note-taking.
- Dual Functionality: Remember to use the physical tape measure for short, precise measurements where a laser might be overkill or less convenient, such as measuring around curves or small objects.
- Optimal Lens Performance: The high optical lens is designed to reduce environmental interference. Keep it clean for consistent and reliable readings.
