2. Safety Information

4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Physical Placement

The HORLAT M04 projector features a 360° rotatable bracket, offering versatile placement options:

  • Desktop Projection: Place the projector on a flat surface in front of or behind your screen.
  • Ceiling/Wall Mounting: The 360° bracket allows for easy ceiling or wall mounting. Ensure the mount is secure and can support the projector's weight.
  • Multi-angle Projection: Adjust the projector to project onto a wall, screen, or even the ceiling (e.g., for watching movies while lying in bed). The bracket supports angles up to 360° rotation, 180°, 225°, and 45° tilt.

4.2 Power Connection

  1. Connect the power cord to the projector's power input port.
  2. Plug the other end of the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.

4.3 Initial Power On

Press the power button on the projector or the remote control to turn on the device. The projector will boot up, displaying the Android 12.0 operating system interface.

4.4 Focus and Keystone Correction

The M04 projector features advanced automatic correction functions:

  • Auto Focus: The projector will automatically adjust the focus for a clear image.
  • Auto Keystone Correction: The projector automatically corrects vertical keystone distortion (Up&Down Auto Keystone).
  • Electronic Correction: For fine-tuning, manual electronic correction is available via the settings menu.
  • Auto Screen Alignment: The projector can automatically align the image to the screen.
  • Automatic Obstacle Avoidance: The projector can detect and adjust the projection to avoid obstacles in the projection path.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Android 12.0 Operating System

The projector runs on Android 12.0, providing access to a wide range of applications and entertainment content. Navigate the interface using the remote control. You can download over 10,000 apps and access more than 70,000 entertainment contents directly from the projector.

5.2 Connectivity

5.2.1 Wireless Connectivity (Wi-Fi & Bluetooth)

  • Wi-Fi 6: The projector supports dual-band 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi 6 for fast and stable wireless connections. Connect to your home network via the settings menu.
  • One-Touch Projection: Easily project content from mobile phones, tablets, and computers using Miracast or Airplay.

5.2.2 Wired Connectivity

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  • Exterior: Wipe the projector's exterior with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Lens: Use a professional lens cleaning cloth or air blower to gently remove dust from the lens. Avoid touching the lens surface with your fingers.
  • Vents: Regularly check and clean the ventilation openings to prevent dust buildup, which can affect cooling and performance. Use a soft brush or compressed air.

6.2 Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the projector in a cool, dry, and dust-free environment. Use the lens cap to protect the lens from dust and scratches.

6.3 Lamp Life

The LED light source in your HORLAT M04 projector has a long lifespan of over 60,000 hours, ensuring many years of reliable use without frequent lamp replacement.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your projector, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Problem Possible Cause / Solution
No image on screen
  • Ensure power cord is securely connected and projector is turned on.
  • Check input source (HDMI, USB, etc.) is correctly selected.
  • Verify connected device (laptop, TV box) is powered on and outputting signal.
Image is blurry
  • Allow Auto Focus to complete. If still blurry, use manual focus adjustment.
  • Ensure the projection distance is within the recommended range (1.2m-5m).
  • Clean the projector lens.
Image is distorted (trapezoid shape)
  • Allow Auto Keystone Correction to complete.
  • Adjust keystone correction manually via the settings menu or remote control.
  • Ensure the projector is placed as perpendicular to the screen as possible.
No sound
  • Check the volume level on the projector and the connected source device.
  • Ensure no headphones are connected to the 3.5mm earphone out port if you want sound from the built-in speakers.
  • If using Bluetooth speakers, ensure they are correctly paired and connected.
Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connection issues
  • Ensure Wi-Fi/Bluetooth is enabled on the projector and the device you are trying to connect.
  • Restart the projector and your router/Bluetooth device.
  • Check for interference from other wireless devices.
  • For Wi-Fi, ensure you are within range of your router.
