2. Getting Started

2.1 Initial Setup

Before using your Fanvace P8 Digital Player for the first time, please follow these steps:

  1. First-Time Charging: Charge the device fully before its initial use. The device has a battery capacity of 2500mAh, offering approximately 150 hours of standby time and 15 hours of continuous music playback.

2.2 Power On & Initial Configuration

  1. Power On: Press and hold the Power Button for 3 seconds.
  2. Initial Configuration: Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the initial setup:
    • Select your preferred language (e.g., English, German, French, Italian, Spanish).
    • Set the correct Time Zone and Time.

Wi-Fi MAC Address Settings

By default, your P8 uses a dynamic Wi-Fi MAC address to enhance privacy by randomizing the device identifier on networks. If you require a static MAC address (e.g., for network whitelisting), please contact customer support for the MAC locking tool and guide.

4.2 Bluetooth 5.0 Pairing

  1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both your P8 and the device you wish to pair (e.g., headphones, speakers).
  2. On your P8, go to Settings > Connected devices > Bluetooth and select "Fanvace P8" from the available devices list.
  3. The maximum effective range for Bluetooth connectivity is approximately 10 meters, though obstacles may reduce this range.

5. App Management

5.1 Preinstalled Apps

The Fanvace P8 comes with several popular online music and media applications preinstalled, including Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify, Audible, Deezer, Tidal, Prime Video, and VLC.

5.2 Installing New Apps

  1. Open the Google Play Store application on your device.
  2. Sign in with your Google account.
  3. Browse and download new applications directly. Ensure you have sufficient storage space by checking Settings > Storage.

5.3 Uninstalling Apps

  1. To uninstall an app, drag its icon from the home screen or app drawer to the "Uninstall" option that appears.
  2. Note that system applications such as Gallery, Calendar, Calculator, Folder, Settings, Clock, FM Radio, and Sound Recorder cannot be removed.

6.2 Recording Your Screen

Method 1: Button Shortcut

  1. Press and hold the Power Button (side button) for 2 seconds.
  2. When the Power Menu appears (with options like Power Off, Restart, and Screen record), tap Screen record.

Method 2: Quick Settings Panel

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Notification Panel.
  2. Select Screen record. You may need to allow permissions for recording audio and showing touches on screen.
  3. Tap Start; recording will begin after a 3-second countdown.

7.1 Google Family Link Setup

  2. Create a child account within the Family Link app and link it to the P8 device.

  • PIN Recovery: Enter the universal recovery code 1235789 (case-sensitive).

  • Use ONLY the provided 5V/1A USB-C charger. Fast chargers may cause overheating or permanent battery damage.
