Hot-Swappable Switches
The NK68 keyboard features full key hot-swappable sockets, allowing you to easily change mechanical switches without soldering. This enables customization of your typing experience.
- To remove a keycap, use the provided key puller. Gently pull upwards on the keycap until it detaches from the switch.
- To remove a switch, use the provided shaft puller. Align the puller's prongs with the clips on the top and bottom of the switch. Squeeze the puller and gently pull the switch upwards until it comes out of the PCB socket.
- To install a new switch, ensure the pins on the bottom of the switch are straight. Align the pins with the holes on the PCB socket and gently press down until the switch clicks into place. Do not force the switch if it doesn't go in easily, as this may bend the pins.
- Place the keycap back onto the switch stem.
