3.2 Physical Installation
The charger comes with a wall mounting bracket for convenient storage and use. This allows you to fix the charger to a wall, transforming it into a semi-permanent EVSE wall box, while retaining its portability.
- Choose a suitable location on a wall near your parking spot and a compatible power outlet.
- Securely mount the provided wall holder to the wall using appropriate fasteners (not included).
- Insert the charger unit into the wall holder from top to bottom until it clicks into place.
3.3 App Connection (Wi-Fi & Bluetooth)
To utilize the smart features, connect the charger to the dedicated mobile application.
- Download the feyree smart APP from your device's app store.
- Ensure your smartphone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are turned on.
- Open the APP and follow the on-screen instructions to add your device. This typically involves searching for nearby devices and confirming the connection.
- For initial setup or if Wi-Fi is unavailable, the app can connect via Bluetooth within 10 meters. Your phone may need a SIM card with a signal for hotspot functionality if using this method.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Charging
- Plug the CEE plug into a compatible 3-phase power outlet.
- Connect the GB/T20234 charging connector to your electric vehicle's charging port.
- The charger will initiate a self-check and then begin charging automatically, or await your command via the APP or control box buttons.
- The 2.8-inch LCD screen will display real-time charging status, including power status, charging current, voltage per phase, and energy consumption.
4.2 Adjustable Current
The charger supports adjustable current settings to match your vehicle's needs or available power supply. You can adjust the current between 8A, 10A, 13A, and 16A.
- Use the APP to select your desired charging current.
- Alternatively, use the buttons on the control box to cycle through current options. The selected current will be memorized automatically after setting.
4.3 Smart Schedule Charging
The smart APP allows you to schedule charging times, which can help save money by charging during off-peak electricity hours.
- Open the feyree APP on your smartphone.
- Navigate to the scheduling or delay charging section.
- Set your desired start and end times for charging.
- The charger will automatically begin and end charging according to your schedule.
- The charger will automatically power off when your vehicle is fully charged, even if still plugged in.
4.4 Control Box Buttons
The control box features three main buttons for interaction:
- A (Downward): Used to navigate downwards in menus or decrease values.
- D (Enter): Used to confirm selections or enter sub-menus.
- T (Back): Used to go back in menus or cancel actions. Long press 'T' for 10 seconds to enter the main menu page.
5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your feyree EV charger.
- Cleaning: Wipe the charger and cables with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the charging cable, connector, and control box for any signs of damage, wear, or corrosion. If any damage is found, discontinue use immediately and contact support.
- Storage: When not in use, store the charger in a dry, clean place, preferably using the wall mount holder or the provided storage bag.
- Environmental Protection: The charger is designed with IP66 waterproof and dust-proof protection for the charger box and IP55 for the CEE plug, making it suitable for outdoor use. However, avoid prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Common Issues & Solutions
- Charger not starting: Ensure the CEE plug is fully inserted into the power outlet and the GB/T connector is securely attached to the vehicle. Check for any error messages on the LCD screen.
- App connection issues: Verify your phone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled. Try resetting the charger's Wi-Fi connection.
- Slow charging: Check the selected current setting (8A-16A) and ensure it's appropriate for your vehicle and power source. The actual charging speed depends on both the charger and your vehicle's onboard charger capacity.
6.2 Resetting Wi-Fi Connection
If you experience issues with the APP connection or need to reconfigure Wi-Fi, follow these steps:
- Long press the 'T' button on the control box to enter the Menu page.
- Press the 'A' button to navigate and select 'Settings'.
- Press the 'D' button to enter the 'Settings' menu.
- Press the 'A' button to navigate and select 'Reset Wifi'.
- Press the 'D' button to confirm the Wi-Fi reset.
6.3 Overheat Protection
The charger features an intelligent temperature control chip to prevent overheating during prolonged charging. It operates as follows:
- If temperature is ≥ 85°C: Charging will cut off within 0.2 seconds.
- If temperature is > 70°C: Automatic current reduction will occur.
- If temperature is ≤ 65°C: Automatic charging will resume.
